This is a historical roundup of Cyber Monday gaming offers reported on December 2, 2024—not a list of deals available now. At publication, the remaining offers covered PS5 consoles and accessories, Nintendo Switch bundles and games, Xbox hardware and games, and PC games and peripherals. Sale prices, stock and deadlines below are 2024 snapshots; check current retailer listings before spending.
How to read these 2024 Cyber Monday deals
The roundup was published on December 2, 2024, and reported offers still available at that time. It is useful as a record of what was advertised, not as evidence of today’s price or inventory. Retailer offers could vary, and official announcements put geographic and timing limits on their promotions.
For a fair comparison, check the exact model, whether a console has a disc drive, what games or memberships are included, the seller, the offer’s end date and the price against a dated reference. A lower headline price is not automatically better if it excludes something you need or locks you into digital purchases.
PlayStation 5: console offers and format differences
The December 2 roundup reported a PS5 Slim at Amazon for $424, described at the time as $76 off MSRP. It also listed a PS5 Slim Digital Edition bundled with NBA 2K25 at GameStop for $374. These are historical retailer prices, not current price guidance. Engadget-originated roundup republished by Tech Lab Seattle
#1 Best Overall
- Model Number CFI-2000
- Includes DualSense Wireless Controller, 1TB SSD, 2 Horizontal Stand Feet, HDMI Cable, AC power cord, USB cable, printed materials, ASTRO’s PLAYROOM (Pre-installed game)
- Vertical Stand sold seperately
Format is a practical distinction: the Digital Edition has no optical disc drive, while the disc version can play physical games. If you own discs, borrow games, or buy used physical copies, include that value in your comparison. WIRED’s roundup separately listed a PS5 Slim Digital Console at $374 and a disc version at $424 in its 2024 coverage. WIRED’s 2024 Cyber Monday gaming roundup

Nintendo Switch: UK and Ireland store offers

It named bundles for Nintendo Switch OLED, Switch Lite and the standard Switch; some included a selected game and a 12-month individual Nintendo Switch Online membership. The promotion also included selected digital game discounts, including a 30% first-time discount on The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and 30% off selected accessories such as controllers and cases. Nintendo described an exclusive 30% offer on the Nintendo 64 Controller for Nintendo Switch for Nintendo Store and Nintendo Switch Online members, plus a two-membership offer under specified purchase conditions.
These offers did not all share one deadline: Nintendo stated that some ended December 1 and others January 12. The membership bonus also had conditions, including exclusions for some third-party code purchases. Check the offer’s own terms rather than assuming every listing had the same end date or bundle contents.

Xbox: US hardware and game discounts
Microsoft’s November 15, 2024 Xbox announcement advertised $50 off select Xbox Series X|S consoles, $10 off select Xbox Wireless Controllers, and discounts on more than 1,000 games, with up to 55% off select Xbox games. It also listed up to 60% off select PC digital games. Many game offers ran through December 2, 2024. Xbox Wire, November 15, 2024
The announcement was explicitly US-only. Microsoft’s Kevin Hooper, Senior Manager, Global Campaigns, wrote: “Please Note: Discounts in this article are US-only – please check your local version of Xbox.com or Microsoft Store for deals in your region.” Console and accessory availability varied by market and retailer, so those figures do not establish what shoppers elsewhere could buy.

For PC players, Microsoft’s announced offer was up to 60% off select PC digital games; the discount applied to selected titles, not every game. The 2024 roundups also featured peripherals, including an Alienware AW3423DWF QD-OLED monitor and a HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless headset. Those mentions document historical coverage, not current prices or a recommendation based on independent testing here. Xbox Wire, November 15, 2024 WIRED’s 2024 Cyber Monday gaming roundup
WIRED’s review team reported that its HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless unit ran for 325 hours while playing music before it stopped. Quick Recap
A quick checklist for judging a gaming deal
- Match the format to your library: verify whether the console has a disc drive if physical games matter to you.
- Value the whole bundle: identify the exact game, membership term, controller or accessory included, and whether you would otherwise buy it.
- Check the geography: Xbox’s cited hardware promotion was US-only; Nintendo’s cited store offers were for the UK and Ireland; Sony warned that offers varied by region and retailer.
- Check the clock and stock: note the specific offer’s deadline and availability rather than relying on a general Cyber Monday label.
- Compare like with like: use the same model and bundle configuration, and compare with a clearly dated price reference rather than assuming a claimed discount is the best available price.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
