CrazyGames announced social features for playing browser games with friends in June 2024, when GamesBeat reported the platform had 35 million monthly active users. That figure describes the announcement-era audience—not a verified current count. The features let logged-in users find friends, see who is online, send invitations and join supported games.
What CrazyGames announced in June 2024
On June 20, 2024, GamesBeat reported that CrazyGames was adding social capabilities to its browser-games platform. The report described friend discovery, online and in-game status, invitations, one-click joining, profile customization, game statistics and play streaks. The platform’s stated aim was to make it easier to play together without installing games. GamesBeat’s announcement coverage was updated June 18, 2025.
The “35 million” headline was reported as monthly active users in that 2024 coverage. It should not be read as a current audience count or as the number of account holders.
How Friends works for players
CrazyGames’ account documentation describes accounts as a way to save progress, play across devices, customize a username and avatar, and play with friends. Players can generally start a game as guests; using Friends is different. The multiplayer documentation says users must have a CrazyGames account and be logged in to use Friends.

Friends-enabled games can also appear on a dedicated Multiplayer landing page. This is not a site-wide guarantee that every game supports friend invitations or joining: the game must implement the relevant multiplayer flows.
What developers need to support
For a game to qualify for CrazyGames’ multiplayer discovery, its integration needs to communicate room and status information through the SDK and identify whether a room is joinable. The multiplayer documentation also sets out flow expectations:

- Tri-mode Connectivity: Wired for Xbox, 2.4G & Wired for PC, and Bluetooth for Android. The G7 Pro supports seamless connectivity across Xbox, PC, and Android. Effortlessly switch between modes using the convenient physical mode switch.
- TMR Sticks: The G7 Pro features GameSir's Mag-Res TMR sticks, combining Hall Effect durability with traditional potentiometer performance. This advanced technology delivers stable polling rates for smooth, drift-free gaming with low power consumption.
- Hall Effect Analog Triggers: The GameSir precision-tuned Hall Effect analog triggers provide unmatched smoothness and linear input for precise control. Featuring clicky Micro Switch trigger stops, gamers can easily switch based on their preferences.
- 1000Hz Polling Rate on PC: Experience ultra-responsive gaming with a 1000Hz polling rate on PC, available through both wired and 2.4G wireless connections. This ensures instantaneous input registration, reducing lag and optimizing your performance for the most competitive gameplay.
- GameSir Nexus App: The G7 Pro is compatible with the upgraded GameSir Nexus app, which brings a significant upgrade over the original. It introduces powerful new features such as gyro settings, stick curve adjustments, and button-to-mouse mapping, giving you deeper customization and more control than ever before.
- Make users joinable immediately after launch.
- In most cases, put the first party member into a private room by default.
- Provide a fast path into multiplayer and display CrazyGames usernames in the game.
These requirements and recommendations matter to the player experience: an invitation or join action only works smoothly if the game exposes an appropriate room and joinability state.
How CrazyGames describes its developer launch process
CrazyGames’ launch-process documentation describes two stages. A Basic Launch tests a game with a limited audience for 7 to 21 days, requires basic implementation, and has monetization disabled. Games that meet the platform’s criteria may move to Full Launch after additional implementation and quality assurance; the documentation says monetization and revenue share begin at that stage.

| Stage | What the documentation says |
|---|---|
| Basic Launch | Limited audience for 7–21 days; basic implementation; monetization disabled. |
| Full Launch | Requires further implementation and QA; monetization and revenue share begin at this stage. |
The documentation says evaluation can include average playtime, conversion to gameplay and retention. A staged review is not a promise of acceptance, a particular audience size, or developer earnings.
The same documentation lists SDK support for Unity, Defold, Godot, Phaser, PlayCanvas, Construct, Pixi.js and BabylonJS. It also names Photon Backend, Xsolla Payments, ByteBrew Analytics and Lasso Moderation as partners. These are examples of development, multiplayer, payment, analytics and moderation tooling; their listing does not establish that any offers an affiliate program.

How to read CrazyGames’ audience figures
CrazyGames’ current-facing pages use figures and labels that differ from the 2024 headline. Its account documentation says more than 35 million players have an account, without a visible publication date. Its FAQ says developers can reach more than 50 million monthly active users, while its About page says 60 million players. The FAQ and About page do not clearly specify measurement dates, geography or methodology in the cited pages. CrazyGames’ FAQ and About page therefore do not establish a directly comparable time series against GamesBeat’s June 2024 report.
Keep the distinctions intact: account holders are not necessarily monthly active users, and “players” is not necessarily the same measure as monthly active users. The available claims suggest the platform may have grown since the 2024 announcement, but their labels and missing measurement details do not support a precise apples-to-apples comparison.

Other claims in the 2024 coverage
GamesBeat also reported that new games received 48 guaranteed homepage hours and that CrazyGames’ revenue-sharing model paid developers millions of dollars each year. Those are claims in the 2024 article, not confirmation of current placement policy or current developer payouts. For current terms, developers should consult CrazyGames’ launch documentation rather than assume those reported figures still apply.
