Coventry City’s latest filed accounts report £26.5 million in wages for 2024/25, the financial year ending 31 May 2025. For the current 2026/27 football season, SalaryLeaks estimates a wage bill of £45.1 million including bonuses—a third-party estimate, not an audited club figure. Salary databases list Taiwo Awoniyi as Coventry’s highest earner, but their estimates of his pay differ and are not confirmed contract details.
What is Coventry City’s annual wage bill?
The answer depends on whether you mean the latest filed financial year or an estimate for the current football season. The figures cover different periods and are not the same measure.

Coventry City Football Club Limited’s latest full accounts cover 1 June 2024 to 31 May 2025 and were filed with Companies House on 27 February 2026. PSRwatch’s extraction of those accounts reports wages of £26.5 million and revenue of £34.2 million, equivalent to a reported wage-to-revenue ratio of 77.5%. Current-season estimate: £45.1 million
SalaryLeaks estimates Coventry’s 2026/27 wage bill at £45.1 million including bonuses. This is a modeled season estimate, not a number reported in filed accounts, so it should not be treated as a directly comparable update to the £26.5 million accounts figure. SalaryLeaks’ Coventry City estimates.

Who is Coventry City’s highest-paid player?
Both Capology and SalaryLeaks identify Taiwo Awoniyi as Coventry City’s leading earner in their 2026/27 salary listings. The Premier League’s 2026/27 squad list also includes Awoniyi under Coventry City, confirming his squad membership. Premier League squad list.
The salary figures are estimates rather than club-confirmed contract information, and the sites use different reported amounts and pay descriptions:

The gap does not establish that either site is correct: Capology specifies fixed pay excluding bonuses, while SalaryLeaks provides a different annual estimate. - Different periods: £26.5 million is for the financial year from 1 June 2024 to 31 May 2025; £45.1 million is an estimate for the 2026/27 football season.
- Different scope and certainty: the former is a reported company-accounts wages figure, while the latter is a third-party estimate of the club’s current-season wage bill.
- Different treatment of pay: SalaryLeaks says its club estimate includes bonuses, while Capology describes Awoniyi’s fixed salary estimate as excluding bonuses.
For context, PSRwatch’s extraction of the 2023/24 accounts reported wages of £23.4 million and revenue of £29.3 million; it says the reported wage figure rose by £3.1 million in 2024/25.
