Cancel an order or request a return?
Open My Coupang → order list or delivery tracking → select the item. Choose order cancellation if that option is still shown. Coupang says that when the cancellation button is missing, the order has usually passed the cancellation point; submit a return or exchange request instead. For a delayed order, check the delivery estimate displayed in the order.

Rocket Fresh orders generally cannot be canceled after dispatch. Coupang directs customers to the post-delivery return route, but fresh, chilled, and frozen goods may be excluded from change-of-mind returns because they cannot be resold. If a parcel has already left the seller, you may need to refuse delivery or request a return. If you accept a parcel after canceling, contact Coupang or the seller to arrange collection or payment. Seller contact details and any seller-specific instructions appear in the item’s delivery, exchange, and return information or in the order list. Coupang’s July 2026 return and cancellation FAQ describes these steps; the live order screen controls the options available for your order.
How long do I have to return the item?
Coupang’s July 2026 Korean-language FAQ gives different general change-of-mind windows by fulfillment category. These are not a single deadline for every Coupang order; read the item’s terms and the return flow for any product-specific conditions.

For an item that differs from its description or advertising, is defective or damaged, or was delivered incorrectly due to the seller, Coupang’s FAQ states a window of within 3 months after receipt, or within 30 days after you knew or could have known about the issue. Coupang lists restrictions that can include made-to-order goods once production has begun; items whose value has fallen through use or passage of time; and sets with missing or used components, or damage or contamination caused by the customer. A free-return label may waive change-of-mind return shipping, but does not necessarily remove other item restrictions.

Who pays return shipping, and how much will be refunded?
According to Coupang’s July 2026 FAQ, customers are not charged for returns or exchanges caused by a product or delivery problem. Change-of-mind returns may have fees. The return request screen shows the estimated refund after return costs, making it the most useful place to check the amount for your specific order.
For a seller-shipped item already in transit, the original outbound shipping charge and return shipping may be deducted. The seller and product determine the amount, and the seller may sometimes request an additional payment. Island or rural delivery areas, installation products, and seller-direct delivery can also affect costs; there is no universal fee to apply without checking the listing and order.

If you are sending an item directly to a seller, Coupang recommends using the carrier contracted by that seller. Another carrier can result in extra shipping costs. If you have already sent the item using a different carrier, Coupang’s FAQ says to contact support with the tracking number rather than filing the standard in-app return request. What happens after you submit a return?
A return and a refund are separate stages. Submit the request in My Coupang, make the item available for collection, and follow its status in the order’s cancellation, return, exchange, and refund history. Check the pickup date shown there. Coupang says weather, holidays, carrier closures, and workload can delay collection; pickup timing also varies by fulfillment type, so the displayed date is more useful than a general promise. Coupang says a collected return usually reaches the seller in about 1–2 business days. The seller inspects it; if no issue is found, the purchase is canceled and Coupang notifies you. After pickup is complete, check the expected refund date in the same order history. Coupang describes the following payment intervals as general references, with exceptions possible, in its July 2026 refund FAQ.

In Coupang’s words, “the time from return to refund varies by seller and payment method.” If the refund seems late, first check whether pickup and inspection have completed in My Coupang; then compare the status with the timing for your payment method.

How to resolve common return problems
- The pickup date passed, but nobody collected the item: Check the pickup date and current status in My Coupang. Pickup can vary by product type and be delayed by weather, holidays, carrier closures, or workload. If the order history does not show a new collection date, use Coupang’s support options from the order.
- Your refund account was rejected: Use a bank account in the buyer’s own name; Coupang does not allow another person’s account for this refund flow.
- The item was shipped by a seller: Use the seller contact details on the listing or order page, and follow the seller’s contracted-carrier instruction if returning directly.
- The cancellation button is gone: Check the shipment status, then use the return or exchange controls if available.
- The order shipped after you canceled: If it has not arrived, refuse delivery. If you receive it, contact Coupang or the seller to arrange collection or payment handling.
- You received the order as a gift: Coupang’s FAQ directs gift recipients to contact Coupang customer service for return or exchange help.
