On 11 July 2022, PerthNow reported that a Woolworths was being built near Perth Airport and could potentially trade 24 hours a day. The article said the site was on airport-estate land and described a special economic zone and a different trading-hours jurisdiction as a possible way around Western Australia’s retail trading restrictions. The report expected the store to open in August 2023. That was a forecast, and its discussion of 24-hour trade was conditional—not confirmation that the store would keep those hours.
What happened after the forecast
Perth Airport said in a retrospective published on 8 June 2026 that Dunreath Village opened in 2023 with Woolworths, Priceline and Sushi Hub as anchor tenants. The airport operator also reported a 2025 expansion that added a flagship Dan Murphy’s, specialty retailers, food and beverage outlets and public art. Does the Woolworths trade 24 hours now?
That is not established by the available information. The 2022 article reported that 24-hour trading could be possible; the later airport update confirms the store opened but does not confirm round-the-clock operation. Woolworths has an official store listing for Perth Airport, but the listing reviewed did not expose its current hours. Check Woolworths’ Perth Airport store listing before travelling, and rely on the live hours shown there rather than the old forecast.
