Is the Extra Member Add-On the same as a password-sharing crackdown?
No. The $7.99-per-month Extra Member Add-On is a separate option for eligible accounts to add someone outside the household under specified conditions. It is not evidence of a finalized enforcement date or complete password-sharing policy. Eligibility and availability can differ for bundle or third-party-billed accounts, so check the WBD terms before relying on it.

What should existing subscribers check before a bill changes?

Compare the exact plan you would buy and the full renewal cost. If you mainly want one series or a particular season, rotating subscriptions may cost less than keeping several services year-round. If you already receive a service through a bundle, include that bundle’s total cost rather than counting the standalone price alone.
HBO Max may suit viewers who regularly watch HBO originals and Warner Bros. programming; another service may be a better fit for a household focused on a different catalog or live offering.
