What the November 2025 StackSocial deal offered
A November 13, 2025 community deal post reported these prices and incentives. They should be treated as reported historical terms, not as independently verified terms from an official archived StackSocial page.

The Shop Card was an incentive after membership redemption, not an immediate discount at checkout. The amounts above are the figures in the contemporaneous November 13 deal post; the post does not establish an individual buyer’s net cost or savings.
Who qualified, and how redemption worked
The November deal post said the promotion was for new members or people whose Costco membership had been expired for more than 18 months, and was available to customers in the United States and Puerto Rico. It also said buyers had to redeem the membership online before visiting a warehouse. These are terms reported by the community post, not confirmed by an archived official November merchant page.

Is the offer still available?
No. The November offer is historical, and the live StackSocial page does not confirm that the November $40 Gold Star reward is still available. The listing currently displays a $65 Gold Star membership with a $20 Digital Costco Shop Card and gives December 31, 2025 as its redemption deadline; that date has passed. The live listing also says its card is emailed within two weeks after successful sign-up and requires a valid email address. Its stated eligibility, redemption, refund, and promotion restrictions apply to that listing and should not be assumed to have governed the November offer.

Gold Star or Executive: which reported option made sense?
The historical post reported that Executive cost $65 more upfront and came with a $20 larger Shop Card than Gold Star. That comparison alone does not establish which tier was more valuable for a particular household: the sources do not provide a buyer-specific break-even calculation. Consider the tier based on the Costco use and benefits you expect, rather than treating the Shop Card as guaranteed savings.

Its product page says recipients can redeem it at a U.S. or Puerto Rico warehouse membership counter or on Costco.com; current Costco members may use it to renew or upgrade.
