The matching document is a 19-page student internship report attributed to Pedri Apdi. It describes a placement at Cooperative Bank of Oromia’s Babile Branch and is associated with Madda Walabu University. The Scribd listing offers online reading and DOC, PDF, and TXT download formats, but its user-uploaded status means the listing alone does not authenticate the author, university acceptance, completeness, or accuracy of the report.

How to identify the matching report

The Scribd listing uses the title “Internship Report: Cooperative Bank of Oromia | PDF | Banks | Cooperative” and attributes the report to Pedri Apdi. Its description associates the placement with CBO’s Babile Branch and Madda Walabu University. The listing labels the title and description AI-enhanced, so use those details to locate the document rather than as independent proof of its provenance.

The listing indicates online reading and DOC, PDF, and TXT formats. These are digital versions of an academic document, not evidence of a separately published or officially endorsed bank report.

What the report covers

The document combines a general account of the bank with the student’s placement experience. Its outline includes organizational background and establishment, vision, mission and objectives, corporate governance, employees, a SWOT analysis, duties, foreign transaction work, activity evaluation, workplace problems and remedies, reflections, conclusions, recommendations, and references.

In its abstract, the author writes: “The aim of this report is to explain about my internship experience at Cooperative bank of Oromia, Babile Branch.” That sentence describes the author’s purpose; it does not verify the report’s claims about the bank.

Placement duties described by the author

According to the report, the student assisted with account opening; helped customers complete deposit and withdrawal forms; identified transaction papers; checked transaction information in the system; assisted customer officers; and took part in auditing tasks and bank reconciliation. These are the author’s descriptions of one placement, not an audited account of CBO procedures or a guide to what interns do at every branch.

Foreign transaction work

The foreign transaction section describes remittance-related tasks. The author says they checked customer names, signatures, dates, exchange rates, and beneficiary security information. The report also recounts mismatches in customer documents. Treat these as examples from the student’s account, not confirmation of current remittance requirements or bank-wide controls.

Problems and learning

The report discusses workplace constraints and problems encountered during the placement, along with proposed remedies, reflections, and skills or benefits gained. Its contents may help a student understand one way to organize an internship narrative, but the account should not be treated as a representative evaluation of CBO or as evidence that the same challenges persist.

How to use it as a student reference

  • Use its outline as a prompt for the kinds of sections an internship report might include, not as a required format for your institution.
  • Separate personal observations from background claims about the bank. Cite reliable sources for institutional facts and make clear when a statement reflects only your own placement.
  • Adapt any structure or wording to your own experience and your university’s rules; do not present another student’s duties or reflections as your own.
  • Check factual claims, dates, and figures against suitable sources before reusing them. The listing and the report itself do not independently validate those claims.

What it says about Cooperative Bank of Oromia—and what it cannot establish

The student report says CBO registered commercially in October 2004 and began operating in March 2005. A 2021 review article by Desalegn Fekadu Etefa also says CBO emerged in 2004, but this broader overlap does not independently confirm the precise dates in the student report.

The report lists services and gives a historical vision statement that ends in 2025. Neither should be read as a statement of the bank’s current services or policy.

Etefa’s 2021 review reports that CBO had grown from 7 branches to 420, had capital of more than 5 billion birr compared with 300 million birr, and had 8,163 employees. The excerpt does not specify the measurement year for those CBO figures, so they are historical figures reported in the 2021 article—not current bank metrics. The same review reports 82,089 primary cooperatives at the beginning of 2019; cooperative membership rising from 4.5 million to 18 million between 1991 and 2019; and cooperative capital rising from half a billion to 20.5 billion birr over that period. These are review-article figures, not current statistics.

Provenance and limits

The Scribd document is user-uploaded. Its listing is useful for finding the matching title, but does not independently establish authorship, Madda Walabu University’s acceptance of the report, whether the document is complete, or whether its statements are accurate. The described activities and challenges remain the student’s account; they do not establish current or bank-wide practice.
