If you bought Concord, your refund route depends on where you made the purchase: PlayStation handled PlayStation Store and PlayStation Direct purchases, Steam handled Steam purchases, Epic handled Epic Games Store purchases, and other physical retailers handle their own sales. PlayStation said its refunds would be automatic; for the other channels, check the relevant account or retailer for confirmation.
What happened to Concord?
On September 3, 2024, Firewalk Studios game director Ryan Ellis announced that Concord would go offline beginning September 6, and that sales would cease while full refunds were offered to PS5 and PC buyers. The announcement said players who received a refund would lose access to the game. PlayStation.Blog’s announcement also acknowledged that some aspects of the game and its launch had not landed as intended.

The game’s shutdown means a refund is not a way to keep playing: refunded players no longer have access.
Refund process by purchase channel
Start with the storefront or retailer shown on your order confirmation or transaction record. The official guidance identifies these routes:

PlayStation’s 30–60-day figure is an estimate for a refund to appear on a bank statement, not a guarantee that every case will post by a particular date. The PlayStation guidance is on its UK Concord support page; steps and consumer protections may differ by country.

- Identify the original purchase channel. Check your receipt, order history, or transaction record to confirm whether the purchase was through PlayStation Store, PlayStation Direct, Steam, Epic Games Store, or a physical retailer.
- Check that account or retailer’s records. Look for a refund status, payment entry, or confirmation message. Steam and Epic confirmations come through their respective processes; PlayStation’s refund was described as automatic.
- Contact the organization that handled the purchase. Provide your order details and ask for the refund status. For a physical copy, contact the retailer rather than a different storefront.
- Allow for the stated posting window where it applies. For PlayStation Store and Direct refunds, PlayStation says a bank-statement posting may take 30–60 days. The cited guidance does not establish a comparable timing estimate for Steam, Epic, or every physical retailer.
Do not treat the general policy as proof that an individual refund has completed. If the expected confirmation or funds are missing, the storefront or retailer with the transaction record is the appropriate place to ask about that specific order.
