The clearest examples are Airdog, which reported halting U.S. shipments in April 2025, and Framework, whose reported actions affected selected laptop models and a temporary pre-order timetable—not a companywide U.S. exit. A third example, toy maker Basic Fun, appears in a search-result snippet but could not be independently verified from the underlying article.
Which companies reported tariff-related U.S. pauses?
The documented examples differ in what stopped: shipments, sales of particular models, or a planned pre-order opening. None of the cited reports establishes that the company permanently withdrew from the U.S. market. The table reflects what was reported at the time, not current availability or a comprehensive roster.
| Company | Product and reported action | When and source | What is known about later status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Airdog | Air purifiers; an overseas sales director said the company halted shipments to the United States amid tariff uncertainty. | April 16, 2025; Associated Press report from the Canton Fair. | The report does not say when shipments resumed. |
| Framework | Some lower-end U.S. laptop sales were reportedly paused; U.S. Laptop 12 pre-orders were delayed briefly and then scheduled to open. | April 2025; Tom’s Guide live coverage, with additional model details appearing in a search-result snippet for a Yahoo Finance list. | The pre-order timetable changed after tariff developments. The cited coverage does not establish a lasting companywide suspension. |
| Basic Fun | A search-result snippet says shipments of China-made products were paused, including products under the Care Bears, Lincoln Logs, K’Nex and Tonka Trucks brands. | Search-result snippet for a Yahoo Finance list; the underlying article was not accessible for verification. | Duration and subsequent status are not established by the accessible reporting. |
What happened in each case?
Airdog: reported halt to U.S. shipments
At the Canton Fair, Airdog overseas sales director Zhang Haiyun told the Associated Press that the company had halted shipments to the United States after sweeping U.S. tariffs on Chinese goods were announced. She explained the shipping difficulty this way: “Basically, there are no freight companies willing to take orders because no one knows what will happen to the tariffs when the goods arrive.” The statement describes the freight-order uncertainty she cited; it was an attributed interview, not a formal company announcement. Associated Press, April 16, 2025
The AP described Airdog as an air-purifier maker selling in the U.S. and more than 90 other countries and regions. Its report does not identify when shipments resumed, so it supports a dated shipment halt—not a claim that Airdog stopped all U.S. sales indefinitely.

Framework: selected models and a short pre-order delay
Tom’s Guide reported on April 10, 2025 that Framework would stop sales of lower-end devices in the U.S. and that pre-orders for the new Laptop 12 would not open as originally planned. After tariff developments, the report said U.S. pre-orders were due to open the following day. At that time, it listed a $549 starting price for the Laptop 12 DIY edition and said initial shipments were expected in June; those are historical details, not current pricing or availability. Tom’s Guide, April 10, 2025
A search-result snippet for a Yahoo Finance rolling list identifies the affected Framework Laptop 13 base configurations as Ultra 5 125H and Ryzen 5 7640U models. Because the underlying list article was not accessible, those model-specific details are less firmly established than the reported Laptop 12 pre-order change. Yahoo Finance list article

Basic Fun: reported pause involving China-made toys
The Yahoo Finance search-result snippet says Basic Fun paused shipments of its China-made products and names Care Bears, Lincoln Logs, K’Nex and Tonka Trucks. The source article could not be inspected, so the precise scope, wording, date and current status remain unverified. This is a reported example, not a confirmed current shipment policy. Why “paused sales” needs qualification
A shipment stop can interrupt supply without ending sales; a selected-model pause leaves other products unaffected; and a delayed pre-order opening can be temporary. Those actions are materially different from suspending all U.S. sales across a company. The available reports support the narrower descriptions in the table, not a broad assertion that any of these companies permanently exited the U.S. market.

Tariff conditions also changed quickly. The Congressional Research Service’s timeline says the United States and China agreed on May 12, 2025 to reduce the April tariffs of 125% on each other’s goods to 10% for 90 days, while other measures remained. The CRS timeline records later changes and extensions, including an agreement through November 10, 2026. Those dated changes help explain why a company’s April 2025 decision should not be treated as evidence of its policy today; tariff rates and terms depend on the date and measure being discussed. What is not a U.S. sales pause?
Not every tariff-related sales interruption abroad belongs on a list of U.S. pauses. The Associated Press reported that Tesla stopped taking Model S and Model X orders in mainland China. That was a China-market action, not a pause in U.S. sales, so it does not qualify here. Associated Press report on Tesla orders in China

How complete is the list?
These are documented examples, not an exhaustive list of every company that may have paused U.S. sales or shipments because of tariffs. The available reporting does not provide a consistently verified company-by-company record of each announcement, duration and resumption, and a pause reported in 2025 does not establish a company’s status in October 2026. For a current purchasing or business decision, check the company’s present product and shipping information rather than relying on a dated pause report.
