CySEC’s register lists Colmex Pro Ltd as a licensed investment firm, so the evidence reviewed does not support calling that regulated company itself a scam. However, CySEC disclosed a €200,000 settlement concerning possible violations, and Colmex Pro says it stopped offering CFDs to new clients on 30 January 2026. Check the legal entity, current products and terms for your country before applying or sending money.
Colmex Pro at a glance
| Question | What the available evidence says |
|---|---|
| Is Colmex Pro a real broker brand? | CySEC’s register lists Colmex Pro Ltd, license 123/10. A genuine brand or licence does not authenticate every message, salesperson or lookalike website. |
| Is Colmex Pro regulated? | CySEC lists Colmex Pro Ltd as a licensed investment firm. The company also says it is authorised by South Africa’s FSCA under license 46990. Check the register and the entity that would contract with you. |
| Can new clients currently trade forex CFDs? | The company says it stopped offering CFD products to new clients on 30 January 2026. Its current FAQ describes US equity and options services. Confirm availability directly for your country and account. |
| Has the broker faced regulatory action? | CySEC reported a €200,000 settlement concerning possible violations identified in a supervisory review. A settlement concerning possible violations is not proof that the firm is a scam. |
| Are trading and account protections guaranteed? | No. Regulatory status does not guarantee profits, suitability or identical protection for every account or asset. Trading can result in substantial losses. |
Who is behind Colmex Pro?
CySEC’s register identifies Colmex Pro Ltd as a Cyprus investment firm, license 123/10, company registration number 260064, with a Limassol address. The register lists colmex.com and colmexpro.com as approved domains. Confirm the exact contracting company and website rather than relying on the brand name or a licence number displayed in an advertisement.
Colmex Pro says it is authorised by South Africa’s FSCA under license 46990. The company also says its Israeli permission is based on its declaration of CySEC supervision and explicitly states that its activity is not supervised by the Israeli Securities Authority. These are company statements; verify local status and eligibility for your own circumstances.
Before applying, inspect the client agreement and account-opening documents for:

- the full legal name of the contracting company;
- its company registration number and registered address;
- the regulator and licence number;
- the governing law and dispute-resolution process; and
- the rules applying to client money, products and account protection.
Search the regulator’s own register and compare its listed website and contact details with the ones you are using. A clone can copy a genuine firm’s details while substituting its own contact information or payment instructions.
What changed for new clients in 2026?
Colmex Pro says it stopped offering CFDs to new clients on 30 January 2026. Its FAQ describes US-exchange equity and options services. Older descriptions of the company as a forex and CFD broker may therefore be out of date for a new applicant. Ask the company, in writing, which products are currently available to residents of your country and which legal entity would provide them.
Do not assume that a product, account type, leverage level or protection described in older marketing applies to a new account. The company’s terms archive records changes effective 23 April 2026 and terms announced for 13 October 2026. The latter date is after the research date for this review; check the company’s current terms before relying on them.
CySEC settlement and what it means
In a notice published on 8 April 2025, CySEC said Colmex Pro had paid a €200,000 settlement concerning possible violations identified in a supervisory review covering 17 January 2021 to 24 February 2023. The notice lists areas including authorisation, organisational requirements, conflicts of interest, client information, appropriateness assessments, best execution, and restrictions on marketing and selling CFDs to retail clients.

This was a settlement concerning possible violations, not a finding that the company was a scam. It is still relevant when assessing the broker’s regulatory record. Read CySEC’s notice for its stated scope, and do not turn the settlement into a claim that it proves misconduct beyond what the regulator reported.
How to check whether a Colmex Pro offer is genuine
- Type the website address yourself. Use the domains listed in the CySEC register for Colmex Pro Ltd, and watch for misspellings, extra words, unusual domain endings or redirects.
- Identify the contracting entity. Find its full name in the legal documents and account-opening forms, not just in a marketing banner.
- Check the regulator directly. Compare the public register’s licence and contact details with the website and contact details you have been given.
- Confirm the product and country eligibility. Ask which services are open to new clients in your country and get the answer in writing.
- Check the payment beneficiary. Do not send money to an individual or an unrelated company. Confirm the permitted payment routes in the broker’s written terms.
- Review withdrawal terms before funding. Check the current schedule for your account and payment method; do not rely on a salesperson’s promise.
A request for a separate “tax,” “insurance payment,” “release charge” or “account-unlocking fee” before releasing a withdrawal is a serious warning sign. Identity, anti-money-laundering and source-of-funds checks can delay legitimate payments, but do not pay a salesperson a personal fee to release your own balance.
Costs, deposits and withdrawals
Colmex Pro’s FAQ states a $1,000 minimum deposit for an equity account, with no deposit fee and no inactivity fee. These statements relate to the company’s described account and may not apply to every country or product.
The company’s withdrawal answers conflict: one says there is no withdrawal fee and gives a $50 minimum withdrawal, except for smaller full-balance withdrawals; another says there is no minimum withdrawal but that fees may apply depending on method and amount. Do not treat either as a universal rule. Check the current pricing page and ask for the terms applying to your account and payment route before depositing.

For a comparison, use the same account type and country, and check these costs and conditions:
| What to compare | What to verify |
|---|---|
| Minimum funding | The minimum for the specific account you are considering. |
| Trading costs | Commission, market-data charges and any other product-specific costs. |
| Funding and withdrawals | Fees, minimums, permitted payment methods and processing conditions for your route. |
| Currency conversion | Whether a deposit, withdrawal or trade in another currency incurs conversion costs. |
| Account terms | Current rules for closure, inactivity, margin calls and third-party payments. |
How money and assets may be protected
Colmex Pro says client accounts are segregated and that eligible retail clients may have Investor Compensation Fund coverage up to €20,000. The company also describes securities custody with regulated clearing firms and SIPC coverage up to $500,000. These are company-stated protections; confirm whether they apply to your account, asset type, custodian and eligibility. Do not assume that a protection scheme covers trading losses or applies identically to every client.
The company warns that trading can lose some or all of the original investment, that margin and leverage can increase losses, and that options are complex and can result in losing the entire investment in a short time. Regulation does not make a product suitable or prevent market losses.
Risks of forex, CFDs, equities and options
Forex and CFDs involve market and counterparty risks; leverage can magnify the effect of price movements on your account. If you are considering an account described as forex or CFD, confirm that the product is actually available to you as a new client. Equity and options services have their own costs and risks; options can be complex and can lose value quickly.

Before trading, read the current product disclosures and account terms. Understand margin requirements, order handling, custody arrangements, funding costs and how to raise a complaint. Only risk money you can afford to lose.
Warning signs that should stop you depositing
| Warning sign | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Guaranteed profits or “risk-free” trading | Trading returns are not guaranteed, and the company warns clients can lose some or all of their investment. |
| Pressure to deposit immediately | Urgency can prevent you from checking the legal entity, terms and regulator record. |
| Payment to an individual or unrelated company | The payment may not reach the broker named in your agreement. |
| Remote-access software requested by “support” | It can expose banking credentials and authentication codes. |
| Withdrawal conditional on another payment | A demand for a separate release fee is a serious fraud warning. |
| A domain or contact detail that does not match the register | A real licence record does not verify an impersonator’s website or message. |
Who may want to avoid Colmex Pro?
Colmex Pro may not suit someone seeking a simple long-term investment, guaranteed capital protection or a particular product that is not available to new clients. It may also be unsuitable for anyone who does not understand the risks of margin or options. Compare the entity, product availability, fees, custody and regulator record for your country before choosing an account.

The evidence does not support calling the CySEC-licensed Colmex Pro Ltd itself a scam, but that is not a blanket safety endorsement. CySEC reported a €200,000 settlement concerning possible violations, and Colmex Pro says it stopped offering CFDs to new clients on 30 January 2026. Verify the company, domain, product availability and account-specific terms before sending money. A regulated firm can still offer products with substantial risk, and authorization is not a guarantee of service quality or profit.
