CollPlant reported a GAAP net loss of $2.7 million, or $1.89 per basic share, on $108,000 of revenue for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company’s release does not give analyst estimates, so it confirms the reported loss but not the claim that earnings missed by $1.65 or that revenue fell short of consensus. Those comparisons appear in an October 1 roundup without a named consensus source.

What CollPlant reported for Q2 2026

CollPlant Biotechnologies Ltd.’s September 30, 2026 earnings release reports U.S. GAAP results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. Revenue was $108,000, down from $179,000 in the quarter ended June 30, 2025. The company attributed the decline primarily to lower sales of rhCollagen-based products.

GAAP gross loss was $456,000, compared with a gross loss of $7,000 in Q2 2025. GAAP net loss was $2.7 million, or $1.89 basic loss per share, compared with a net loss of $3.3 million, or $2.83 per share, a year earlier.

GAAP and non-GAAP are different measures

The release also gives a non-GAAP net loss of $2.4 million, or $1.69 per share, for Q2 2026. That is a supplemental measure, not a replacement for the GAAP result. CollPlant says its non-GAAP information should not be considered in isolation or as a substitute for financial information prepared under GAAP.

Can the reported results confirm a $1.65 earnings miss?

No. The $1.89 basic loss per share is the company’s reported GAAP result, but the release does not state an analyst consensus estimate. A $1.65 “miss” is a comparison between actual results and an estimate; without the estimate and its source, the release alone cannot verify that calculation. The October 1, 2026 Reddit earnings roundup uses that miss figure, but the reviewed passage does not identify a data provider or consensus value.

The roundup also says revenue fell short of estimates. CollPlant’s release confirms actual revenue, not an analyst revenue forecast. Treat both estimate comparisons as unverified unless a specific consensus source is supplied.

Why the six-month revenue comparison needs context

Revenue for the six months ended June 30, 2026 was $181,000, compared with $2.2 million in the first half of 2025. That sharp year-over-year decline is not solely a like-for-like comparison of product sales: the 2025 period included a $2.0 million development milestone payment from a former collaborator, which did not recur in 2026. CollPlant identifies lower quarterly sales of rhCollagen-based products as the primary reason for the Q2 revenue decrease.

How the reverse split affects per-share comparisons

CollPlant implemented a 1-for-10 reverse share split on September 4, 2026. Its SEC-filed report says share and per-share amounts in the report were adjusted retrospectively. The Q2 and prior-year per-share figures above are therefore presented on that adjusted basis; older coverage may show figures that are not directly comparable unless it uses the same split-adjusted basis.

Cash at quarter-end versus later financing

CollPlant reported $2.6 million in cash and cash equivalents as of June 30, 2026. Separately, the company said warrant exercises in August and September 2026 generated approximately $5.2 million in aggregate proceeds. Those proceeds were received after the quarter ended and are not part of the June 30 cash balance.

What CollPlant does—and what is outside this quarter’s results

CollPlant describes its business as including plant-derived recombinant human collagen for regenerative medicine, including 3D bioprinting and medical aesthetics, as well as optical computing through LightSolver. The Q2 release says the LightSolver acquisition closed after June 30, so LightSolver’s operating results are not included in the reported quarter.

For investors reviewing the headline, the essential distinction is between the company’s reported figures and estimates attributed to a third-party roundup: the reported GAAP loss and revenue are confirmed by CollPlant, while the stated estimate misses are not established by the company release.
