CoinW announced Pirlo as its global brand ambassador on November 14, 2023, around the exchange’s sixth anniversary. The company framed the relationship as a way to connect football fans with digital assets and Web3. That framing describes CoinW’s promotional aims; it does not establish that Pirlo independently assessed the exchange or its products.
In CoinW’s announcement, Pirlo said: “Being appointed as CoinW’s global brand ambassador is a tremendous honor, especially as we celebrate its 6th-year milestone. I’m enthusiastic about our potential to drive impactful initiatives and introduce Web 3 technology to sports fans worldwide.” The statement appeared in CoinW’s own release.
What did CoinW say in its February 2024 follow-up?
CoinW’s February 20, 2024 release said the partnership video had debuted and linked the campaign to continuing enhancements to its futures-trading platform. It also reported that platform users rose “around 20% in a single quarter” after the video’s debut.

That figure should be read as a CoinW-reported before-and-after claim. The release did not describe a measurement methodology or provide independent corroboration, and the timing alone does not show that the video caused the increase. It is not an independently verified user-growth statistic.
Does “Pirlo-endorsed” mean he recommended CoinW trading?
The documented relationship is a brand-ambassador partnership. The announcements do not establish that Pirlo personally traded on CoinW, tested its services, or recommended a specific cryptocurrency, futures contract, or investment. A celebrity association is not evidence of a platform’s safety, trading performance, or suitability for an individual.
Is Pirlo still a CoinW ambassador?
CoinW’s brand highlights index lists later ambassador announcements, including Luka Modrić in April 2026 and Conor McGregor in July 2026. Those later announcements provide context for the company’s ambassador activity but do not say whether Pirlo’s agreement remains active. The 2023 announcement alone is not confirmation of his current status.
