The financial terms were not disclosed. The companies said BitOasis would retain its brand and leadership, with co-founder and CEO Ola Doudin continuing to run day-to-day operations.
Why did CoinDCX acquire BitOasis?
CoinDCX described the transaction as the start of its MENA expansion, while BitOasis said the deal would help it extend its regional presence. CoinDCX co-founder Sumit Gupta said the company’s strategy was to begin in MENA, which he characterized as a mature market with strong interest in crypto investing. That was Gupta’s stated rationale, not an independent assessment of the region.
BitOasis said CoinDCX had made a strategic investment in the company in August 2023, before announcing the acquisition in July 2024. BitOasis co-founder and CEO Ola Doudin called the acquisition a new chapter for the company. The companies said BitOasis’s brand and leadership team would remain unchanged, with Doudin continuing to lead daily operations. Company announcement, July 3, 2024.
How much did CoinDCX pay for BitOasis?
The purchase price and other financial terms were not disclosed. TechCrunch reported that a CoinDCX spokesperson said BitOasis investors would receive equity in CoinDCX and described the deal as profitable for BitOasis’s backers. Neither the equity amount nor a valuation was specified, so the reported equity consideration does not establish how much CoinDCX paid. TechCrunch, July 3, 2024.

What did BitOasis bring to the deal?
At the time of the July 2024 announcement, BitOasis said its platform was available in 15 countries across the region and listed more than 60 tokens. It said the platform supported fiat currencies including the UAE dirham (AED), Saudi riyal (SAR), and U.S. dollar (USD), had processed more than $6 billion in cumulative trading volume, and had raised more than $40 million. These are company-reported historical figures from 2024, not independently verified measures of its current reach or activity. BitOasis announcement, July 3, 2024.
The companies also pointed to BitOasis’s Bahrain license and its reopening in Dubai. Their announcement described UAE and Bahrain licenses as evidence of a commitment to regulated operations and said BitOasis could operate as a broker-dealer under permissions in its VARA-issued MVP Operational Licence. Those statements describe the company’s position in July 2024; they should not be read as a complete or current account of its regulatory permissions.
What changed after the acquisition?
In an April 10, 2025 anniversary post, CoinDCX said BitOasis obtained a full Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) virtual asset service provider (VASP) license in December 2024. CoinDCX also reported that, since the acquisition, trades had grown 30%, trading volume had risen 40%, and revenue had increased 50%. These are figures CoinDCX published; the cited post does not provide an independent audit or define the measurement periods behind the growth rates. CoinDCX, April 10, 2025.
The license and growth figures are dated developments, not proof of BitOasis’s current permissions or present performance. A current view would require checking company materials and relevant regulator records.

What the acquisition means for CoinDCX’s MENA expansion
The transaction gave CoinDCX a route into MENA through an established regional crypto platform, while the companies said BitOasis would continue under its own brand and leadership. The announced rationale and subsequent company-reported growth point to regional expansion, but the available figures do not establish market share or show how CoinDCX and BitOasis compare on users, assets under custody, fees, or revenue. The cited sources therefore support describing the deal as an expansion move, not claiming that either exchange is a regional or national market leader.
