The last date to apply for CMAT 2024 was 23 April 2024 at 9:50 p.m. Indian time. The National Testing Agency (NTA) extended the original 18 April deadline; applicants had until 11:50 p.m. Indian time that day to complete the fee transaction. The application window is closed, so the old apply link cannot be used to submit a new CMAT 2024 application.
CMAT 2024 deadlines and exam schedule
NTA’s initial bulletin set 18 April 2024 as the application and fee deadline. Its extension notice moved both cutoffs to 23 April, but at different times. The correction window also shifted.

NTA said candidates should make corrections carefully because it would not provide another correction opportunity. The exam was scheduled as a 180-minute computer-based test in English.
Where to find current CMAT information
For later exam cycles, check the official CMAT portal for current notices and application instructions. That portal is the appropriate source for updated cycle information; it is not a route to apply retrospectively for CMAT 2024.
What CMAT is
NTA described the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) as “a National Level Entrance Examination for admission to management programmes in the country.” Its management-exam overview describes CMAT as a three-hour online computer-based test. Scores are accepted by AICTE-approved institutions and university departments, constituent colleges, and affiliated colleges for candidate selection. Acceptance of a score does not itself guarantee admission.
How the 2024 application process worked
CMAT 2024 applications were online-only. NTA instructed candidates to submit one application, use their own email address and mobile number, and consult the information bulletin for eligibility and form instructions. The process involved registration, completing the form and noting the system-generated application number, uploading required scanned files, and paying online.

Documents and details in the 2024 checklist
- Computer with internet connectivity, valid government identity details, date of birth as shown on the Class X certificate, education details, preferred exam cities, and a valid email address and mobile number.
- Photograph in JPG/JPEG format, 10–200 KB, and signature, 4–30 KB.
- PwD certificate, if applicable, 50–300 KB.
- Payment details and an accepted online payment method.
These file-size and document instructions are from the 2024 bulletin, not requirements for a later CMAT cycle.
