Close is a sales-focused CRM that brings lead and pipeline management together with built-in calling, SMS, email and follow-up tools. It may suit teams that sell through frequent direct outreach, but the subscription is only part of the cost: calling and SMS are billed by usage, and several important tools—including workflows, dialers and advanced permissions—require higher-priced plans. The prices and plan details below reflect Close’s pricing page as accessed September 28, 2026, not historical 2025 pricing.

What Close CRM does

Close combines CRM records and pipeline work with sales communication in one workspace. The company describes its product as including calling, SMS, email, workflows, reporting, a mobile app and Chloe, its AI sales agent. That combination is most relevant to sales teams that want to manage outreach and follow-ups alongside lead records rather than assemble those functions from separate tools.

Close’s official pricing page lists AI access on every plan, with monthly credits that vary by tier. These are vendor-described features; the available evidence does not independently establish how well the product performs in day-to-day use.

Close CRM pricing and what each plan includes

Close’s official pricing page, accessed September 28, 2026, lists the following per-user subscription prices. Monthly and annual billing are shown separately; the listed annual rate is the page’s per-user monthly equivalent for annual billing.

Plan Monthly billing Annual billing Notable included features or limits Monthly AI credits
Solo $19 per user/month $9 per user/month One user; limit of 10,000 leads; no workflows 500
Essentials $49 per user/month $35 per user/month Team collaboration; unlimited contacts and leads; built-in forms, email, calling and SMS 1,000
Growth $109 per user/month $99 per user/month Automated workflows, power dialer, custom activities and bulk email 1,500
Scale $149 per user/month $139 per user/month Role permissions, lead visibility rules, predictive dialer, unlimited call-recording retention and live call coaching 2,000

Estimate the full cost, not just the seat price

Close says calling and SMS are usage-based and billed at cost. Its pricing page estimates that most outbound calls cost around $0.02 per minute and says phone numbers start at about $1 per month. Those are the page’s published estimates, not a guaranteed bill: actual usage charges depend on calling and messaging activity. For a team budget, add the seat subscription, phone numbers and expected calling and SMS usage.

Close lists a 14-day trial with no credit card required and a 30-day money-back guarantee. These are current-page terms as accessed September 28, 2026; confirm the terms directly before relying on them.

Which plan is the best fit?

  • Solo: Consider it if one person needs Close and can work within the 10,000-lead limit. It does not include workflows.
  • Essentials: The first team-oriented tier in the listed lineup, with collaboration and unlimited contacts and leads. It includes built-in forms, email, calling and SMS.
  • Growth: The listed step up for teams that need automated workflows or a power dialer.
  • Scale: The tier to examine when role permissions, lead visibility controls, predictive dialing, unlimited recording retention or live call coaching matter.

Before choosing, map the features your sales process actually requires to the plan table, then calculate usage charges at your expected call volume. The entry plan’s lower subscription price does not include the workflow and team features listed on higher tiers.

Close CRM pros and cons

Potential advantages

  • CRM records, pipeline work and several sales communication channels are presented as part of one product.
  • Plan options scale from a single-user tier to tiers with team collaboration, automation, dialers and advanced administration.
  • The pricing page includes calling and SMS alongside other sales tools, which may make the product worth evaluating for an outreach-heavy workflow.

Potential drawbacks

  • Per-user subscriptions are not the complete cost because calling and SMS are billed separately according to usage.
  • Workflows and power dialing are listed on Growth, while advanced permissions and predictive dialing are on Scale; teams may need to pay for a higher tier to get particular capabilities.
  • The Solo plan is limited to one user and 10,000 leads, and does not include workflows.
  • A TechRepublic review published September 5, 2024, summarized user-reported concerns about a learning curve, comparatively high cost and minor bugs. These are dated reports, not a current representative survey or firsthand findings here, and may not describe the current product.

Is Close CRM worth it?

Close is worth evaluating if your team’s sales motion depends on frequent calls, texts, emails and structured follow-up, and you value keeping those activities close to lead records. It is a less obvious fit if you need only basic contact storage, have little outbound activity, or would have to move to a higher tier primarily to unlock a small number of features.

For a sound decision, compare the plan that contains your must-have tools—not just the cheapest tier—with the full expected cost of seats, phone numbers, calls and SMS. Close’s own comparison page names alternatives including Pipedrive, HighLevel, HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce, Outreach, Apollo, Salesloft and Copper, and uses criteria such as team size, calling, email automation, implementation and administration. Because that page is published by Close, treat its comparisons as vendor positioning, not an independent ranking. Current competitor prices and features are not established here, so verify them directly before making a side-by-side budget.

How much weight should you give published pros and cons?

The feature and price details above come from Close’s own pricing page and are subject to change. They establish what Close lists, not independent proof of product performance. The cited TechRepublic review is dated September 5, 2024; its user-report summary can help identify questions to investigate, but it does not establish current customer sentiment or the experience of every team.

Accordingly, test the workflows you expect to use during Close’s listed trial and check current plan terms and usage charges before committing. Avoid treating review summaries as a substitute for checking whether your team’s calling, automation and administration needs fit the selected tier.

Close’s partner program

Close’s partner page invites affiliates and creators to apply. It describes a single application followed by a meeting with the Partnerships team, and states a 30% commission on first-year subscription revenue, with lifetime earnings available as referred accounts scale. The page says approved partners receive a unique referral link and dashboard. These are program statements, not a guarantee of approval or individual terms; confirm the applicable agreement with Close. See Close’s Partner Program.
