Circle has already gone public: it debuted on the New York Stock Exchange in June 2025. The company priced its initial public offering at $31 per share, then priced a follow-on offering in August 2025 at $130 per share. Those are historical offering prices, not current stock quotes.

Did Circle go public?

Yes. Circle Internet Group, the stablecoin and blockchain infrastructure company behind USDC and EURC, completed its IPO and began trading on the New York Stock Exchange in June 2025. Circle had announced its proposed IPO filing on April 1, 2025, and announced pricing for the offering on June 4.

Circle’s 2025 annual report, filed in 2026, recounts the NYSE debut and describes the total IPO offering size as approximately $1.2 billion, including shares sold by existing stockholders. That total is not the same as the number of new shares Circle itself issued.

What were the IPO terms?

On June 4, 2025, Circle announced pricing of an upsized IPO at $31 per share. The company’s subsequent SEC quarterly filing reports that Circle issued and sold 19.9 million Class A shares at that price in June, including the fully exercised underwriters’ over-allotment option. The figures refer to different reporting points: the pricing announcement described the offering as priced, while the SEC filing reports Circle’s completed share issuance.

Circle’s annual report puts the total IPO offering size at approximately $1.2 billion including selling stockholders. Selling-stockholder shares are existing shares sold by their holders, not new shares issued by Circle.

How did the August 2025 offering differ?

Circle later completed a follow-on public offering. On August 12, 2025, the company announced pricing of 10 million Class A shares at $130 per share; its annual report describes the total offering size as approximately $1.5 billion including selling stockholders. The $130 figure is the historical price for that offering, not a current market price or a forecast.

Offering Date and reported terms What the total includes
Initial public offering Priced June 4, 2025, at $31 per share; Circle’s SEC filing reports 19.9 million shares issued and sold by the company in June. Approximately $1.2 billion total offering size, including selling stockholders, according to Circle’s 2025 annual report.
Follow-on public offering Priced August 12, 2025, at $130 per share for 10 million Class A shares. Approximately $1.5 billion total offering size, including selling stockholders, according to Circle’s 2025 annual report.

What did Circle’s stock offering have to do with USDC and EURC?

The IPO sold Class A common stock in Circle. A share represents equity ownership in the company; it is not a stablecoin and does not represent a claim to one USDC or EURC.

USDC is a U.S.-dollar-denominated stablecoin and EURC is a euro-denominated stablecoin issued by Circle through regulated affiliates. They are digital tokens, distinct from Circle’s publicly traded equity. Owning one of the tokens is not the same as owning Circle stock.

What should investors take from the timeline?

  • Circle’s listing is no longer proposed: the company debuted on the NYSE in June 2025.
  • The $31 IPO price and $130 follow-on offering price are historical transaction prices, not live quotes.
  • Offering totals that include selling stockholders should not be confused with shares newly issued by Circle.
  • A company’s public listing does not make its stablecoins shares or guarantee a particular stock performance.
