In a 2022 interview with People Chica, the model and creator described building an audience over years, turning interest in her workouts and routines into The Prado Program, and working to be recognized for her professional reputation rather than her image alone.
How Prado built an audience before building a business
People Chica reported that Prado had 2.7 million Instagram followers when its interview was published on September 29, 2022. That is a historical figure, not a current follower count. Prado’s account of reaching that audience was less about a sudden breakthrough than sustained effort: “I didn’t blow up overnight […] I’ve been working on building my following for years and it’s all about consistency and patience,” she told People Chica.
That long lead-in mattered to her business plans. Prado said people were interested in the workouts and daily routines she shared, which helped inspire her to turn that interest into a fitness offering. Her story presents audience-building as groundwork for a product, rather than proof by itself that a business will succeed.
What The Prado Program offered
In the interview, Prado described The Prado Program as a fitness platform focused on workouts, coaching, and a healthier lifestyle. An older program page, published July 12, 2021, described a 12-week experience led by Prado with daily workouts, nutrition coaching, and a virtual workout-partner element. It listed a price of $199 or four monthly payments of $49.75. Those are historical details from that page, not confirmation of today’s price, availability, or enrollment status.

The less visible work of owning a business
Prado’s most pointed description of entrepreneurship was its lack of a clear finish line. “The work never ends. Owning a business is different from waking up and going to work. As an entrepreneur, there is no such thing as clocking out,” she said in the People Chica interview.

She acknowledged the burden of having more responsibility on the owner’s shoulders, while saying she found business ownership more rewarding than conventional work. She also put the demands in a simple hierarchy: “Hard work outweighs talent.” These are her reflections on her own experience, not a guarantee that self-employment is more rewarding for everyone. For someone weighing a business idea, her account highlights a practical trade-off: greater control and personal investment can come with ongoing obligations that do not neatly end at a scheduled workday.
Why reputation became a career challenge
Prado said establishing her name and reputation was one of her biggest professional challenges. She wanted her work to be taken seriously as a respectable brand, rather than having her career reduced to appearance or social-media imagery. She described earning the trust of brands that valued her work as her biggest career win.

- From the acclaimed, award-winning author of Alexander Hamilton: here is the essential, endlessly engrossing biography of John D. Rockefeller, Sr.—the Jekyll-and-Hyde of American capitalism.
- In the course of his nearly 98 years, Rockefeller was known as both a rapacious robber baron, whose Standard Oil Company rode roughshod over an industry, and a philanthropist who donated money lavishly to universities and medical centers.
- He was the terror of his competitors, the bogeyman of reformers, the delight of caricaturists—and an utter enigma.
That distinction shaped her move from audience attention toward a business of her own: visibility can create an opening, but she saw credibility and professional relationships as essential parts of a lasting career. Her view reflects her experience as a model and creator; it should not be treated as a universal account of every influencer’s path.

Prado also emphasized healthy relationships and support among women in business. “Celebrating another woman’s success will never take away from your own victories. I believe there is way more power in collaboration than competition and women who support each other reap way more benefits,” she told People Chica.

Her point was not that business competition disappears, but that other people’s success need not be treated as a threat. In her account, collaboration can be a source of learning, inspiration, and opportunity alongside the hard work of building a reputation and serving an audience.
