Where is CHITA furniture made?
CHITA says its furnishings are “designed and manufactured by our certified partners,” and that products are warehoused in the U.S. Those statements do not identify the countries or factory addresses where furniture is made. A U.S. warehouse describes storage and distribution, not manufacturing origin.
In its June 2, 2026 buyer guide, “Where Is Chita Living Furniture Made? What Buyers Should Know”, CHITA says factory countries and addresses are not publicly named on its main pages. Buyers who need country-of-origin information should ask the company about the exact product rather than infer its origin from warehousing or the use of manufacturing partners.

For a purchase decision, “sustainable” is best evaluated across specific attributes rather than treated as a single label. Certifications can provide evidence about particular materials, while durability, sourcing, production and transport raise separate questions. A certification for one component does not establish a product’s total environmental footprint.
- Materials: Identify which components—such as wood, upholstery or foam—are certified, and whether the claim applies to the specific model.
- Durability: Look for a stated test method behind abrasion or longevity claims. CHITA’s page reports a rub-count threshold for much of its fabric but does not state the protocol.
- Manufacturing: Distinguish a claim about certified manufacturing partners from disclosure of factory location, audit scope or production conditions.
- Packaging and transport: CHITA describes packaging and freight practices, but does not quantify their impact on the page.
- Ownership costs: Compare warranty coverage, repair options, return terms and expected service life for the exact product. These factors affect the practical cost of replacing furniture, but they do not by themselves prove an environmental benefit.
What can buyers verify on a specific CHITA model?
The Tracee Power Swivel Nursery Glider Recliner is an example listed in CHITA’s current FSC-certified collection. CHITA’s April 22, 2024 Earth Day article described the model as using FSC-certified wood and having GREENGUARD Gold status. That is a dated company claim; verify the current product listing and certification before treating either status as current.
