What happened in the CHIRP token launch?
Three exchanges announced CHIRP/USDT spot trading for January 20, 2025. KuCoin and MEXC specified 14:00 UTC; Gate.io gave 22:00 UTC+8, the same time. Chirp’s website later described the token as live on Sui and available on the three exchanges. These are historical launch details, not confirmation of current trading status.

KuCoin identified SUI20 as its deposit network. Do not assume that a deposit address or network on one exchange is interchangeable with another: verify the network shown in the destination exchange’s current deposit instructions before transferring tokens.
Are CHIRP trading pairs live now?
The January 2025 announcements cannot answer whether CHIRP/USDT remains actively tradable in October 2026. Check each exchange’s live CHIRP market page and its deposit and withdrawal status before acting. A historical listing announcement is not evidence of a current order book, functioning deposits, or withdrawals.

Also distinguish a market listing from access to it. Exchange services and token availability can depend on account eligibility and jurisdiction, and old campaign terms may no longer apply. Review the exchange’s current rules for your location rather than relying on the restrictions or participation terms in a 2025 promotion.
What is Chirp, and what is CHIRP meant to do?
Chirp presents itself as a Sui-based ecosystem for decentralized IoT connectivity. Its stated components include a DePIN network, software for managing connected devices and linking device data to blockchain applications, and Kage, a play-and-earn game in which users scan their surroundings to contribute geolocation and network information. The project says CHIRP rewards contributions and activity across this ecosystem. These are descriptions of intended utility, not independent confirmation of performance, demand, or token value.

Network and device platform
Chirp says its platform supports connectivity, device control, data visualization, APIs and device requests. Its website describes Blackbird as miner hardware for its radio-agnostic IoT network. That does not establish that generic IoT equipment will work with the network; check Chirp’s compatibility and setup information before purchasing hardware for participation.
Kage and data contributions
Chirp describes Kage as a game that uses scans of a player’s surroundings to collect geolocation and network information. The project says this activity contributes data to its ecosystem and can earn rewards. The available launch materials do not independently verify the game’s data quality, reward economics, or user outcomes.

What do the published supply and allocation figures show?
MEXC’s January 19, 2025 launch notice reported a total supply of 300,000,000 CHIRP. Gate’s project information also reported 300,000,000 and listed these allocations. The figures are exchange-hosted project disclosures; they do not establish circulating supply, current unlocks, or market capitalization.

Gate’s project information also says there is no inflation mechanism. That statement should not be read as proof that supply is fully circulating or that token distribution cannot change; the cited information does not provide a current circulating-supply calculation.

How should readers assess Chirp’s adoption claims?
Chirp’s website reports more than 5 billion scanned networks and contributors in 195 countries, and says more than 500 Blackbird units have been deployed. These are company-reported milestones, not independently audited measurements. The same site claims a 5.4-month return on investment for Blackbird units; that is a project claim, not a guaranteed or independently verified investor result.
A separate Chirp update dated May 27, with no year displayed in the extracted page text, says more than 3.5 billion networks were scanned in six months. Because the date and measurement methodology are not established in that page text, treat the figure as a project statement rather than a comparable, independently verified benchmark.

What to verify before buying, depositing, or participating
- Confirm that the exchange currently supports CHIRP trading and that the market has active liquidity; the 2025 launch schedule alone does not establish either.
- Check the current deposit and withdrawal status, token network, and address instructions on the specific exchange. KuCoin’s historical notice identified SUI20, but that is not a substitute for current instructions.
- Review the exchange’s current jurisdiction rules and account requirements. Do not rely on old campaign eligibility terms.
- Separate the token’s stated ecosystem utility from evidence of adoption or financial return. Project-reported network counts and hardware ROI claims are not independent audits or promises.
- Consider the possibility of losing the amount invested. KuCoin’s listing notice cautioned that screening does not remove token risk: KuCoin’s risk warning.
