1. Wait through Chipotle’s posting window
Chipotle says points can take 24–48 hours to be added. Check your account again after that window rather than assuming a purchase failed to earn points. You can view your Rewards account by logging in on Chipotle’s website or in the mobile app. Chipotle Contact Support

2. Check the account and order history
Make sure you’re checking the same Rewards account that was used for the transaction. Chipotle’s terms limit each participant to one account, so a purchase associated with another account will not appear in the account you are viewing. Review the account’s qualifying purchase history for the transaction. Chipotle Rewards Terms and Conditions
For an in-store purchase
You need to present your digital Rewards account at the point of sale when you pay. If you did not show the account at payment, use the receipt request process described below.

For a website or app order
You must be logged in to your Rewards account when placing an order through Chipotle’s website or mobile app. Online guest checkout does not earn points.
3. Confirm the transaction qualified
Chipotle awards points on qualifying purchase amounts, not every dollar shown on a receipt. Check these exclusions and limits in the terms:

- Physical gift cards are delivered active via mail.

- This item is not eligible for refund, resale, or return.
- No fees will be applied to the gift card after purchase (including dormancy, service or other fees). Funds do not expire but your gift card may have a ‘valid thru’ date. If funds remain after this date has passed, please call Chipotle customer service for a replacement card.
- Do not provide any card or account details (example: Gift Card Number, Expiration Date, or CVV) to someone you do not know or trust. There are a variety of scams in which fraudsters try to trick others into paying with gift cards. Double check websites before entering details online. To make sure customers are aware of potential scams that may involve asking for payment using gift cards, click on the ‘Be Informed’ tab above to learn more.
- Excluded purchases: Alcohol and Chipotle gift cards do not earn points. This includes gift-card activations and reloads.
- Excluded charges: Taxes, tips, donations, and fees—including delivery, bag, service, and convenience fees—are excluded from the qualifying total.
- Reward or promotion payments: An amount paid with a reward or another promotional offer does not earn points. Eligible cash, debit or credit card, mobile-wallet, or valid Chipotle gift-card payment may earn points on the amount paid with that method.
- Daily limit: An account is limited to three qualifying purchases per day.

4. Request credit if you forgot to scan
If you made an eligible purchase but did not present your account, Chipotle’s Rewards page links to a “Points Request” flow under “FORGET TO SCAN?” You’ll need a valid receipt. Submit the request promptly: the purchase must be no more than 30 days old when you request credit, and Chipotle says retroactive credit is discretionary—not guaranteed. Chipotle Rewards

Retroactive-credit limits
Chipotle’s terms also cap the number of purchases it will credit retroactively:
- No more than two purchases from one transaction date.
- No more than two purchases in a calendar week.
- No more than four purchases in a calendar month.
Purchases made before you enrolled in Rewards are not eligible for retroactive credit. The terms do not promise that every request meeting these conditions will be approved. Chipotle Rewards Terms and Conditions

5. Contact Chipotle if points are still missing
If 24–48 hours have passed, you have confirmed the account and transaction eligibility, and the points remain absent, use the official Contact Support page. It offers a Contact Support entry point and Ask Pepper. Keep your valid receipt or online order details available so you can identify the purchase. Support can review the issue, but the terms make retroactive credit discretionary.
Keep points and redeemed rewards’ expiration rules separate
Two expiration rules can matter, but neither explains a newly missing transaction. Chipotle’s terms say points expire after 365 days of account inactivity, defined as having no qualifying purchase. Unless a specific reward says otherwise, a redeemed reward expires if it is not used within 60 days after being added to the account. The terms page was last updated April 13, 2026.
