Re:

China Construction Bank Stock Pre-Market at EUR 1.10: Up 1.85% on Lang & Schwarz (October 8, 2026)

A reported EUR 1.10 pre-market quote for China Construction Bank on October 8, 2026 was up 1.85%, not unchanged. Here is what the figures show, what they leave unresolved, and how to read a pre-market euro quote.

The China Construction Bank quote reported for Lang & Schwarz pre-market on October 8, 2026 was EUR 1.10 at 07:59:45 CEST, and it was up, not unchanged. AD HOC NEWS reported a gain of EUR 0.02, or 1.85%, against a prior close of EUR 1.08 on October 7. That is one venue-specific snapshot from a single news report. It is not a current price for CCB in any market.

What the report showed

AD HOC NEWS published the figures below on October 8, 2026. They describe the Lang & Schwarz pre-market session at the time shown and nothing after it.

Item Reported value
Instrument named in report China Construction Bank, ISIN CNE1000002H1
Venue and session Lang & Schwarz, pre-market
Observation time 07:59:45 CEST, October 8, 2026
Quoted price EUR 1.10
Prior close (comparison) EUR 1.08, October 7, 2026, same venue
Reported change +EUR 0.02, or +1.85%
Bid / ask EUR 1.09 / EUR 1.11

Why “unchanged” does not fit this quote

An “unchanged” label would require the current quote to match the prior close. Here the prior close was EUR 1.08 and the quote was EUR 1.10, so the reported move was upward. The headline wording is wrong for this observation. A closely related headline on the same publisher’s coverage uses “plus 1.85 percent”, which matches the reported comparison.

The source of the confusion is probably a different day. A separate AD HOC NEWS report for October 7 described EUR 1.09 as unchanged against a EUR 1.09 prior close, with a EUR 1.09 bid and EUR 1.10 ask. That label belongs to the October 7 observation and cannot be carried over to the October 8 figure.

Bid, ask and what a pre-market quote is

The reported bid of EUR 1.09 and ask of EUR 1.11 leave a spread of EUR 0.02, roughly 1.8% of the quoted price. A bid is the price a buyer has displayed; an ask is the price a seller has displayed. The EUR 1.10 figure sits between them, but a displayed price is not the same as a completed trade. The report gives quote figures, and readers should not treat the EUR 1.10 as a price at which shares changed hands.

Pre-market prices are also thin by nature. Few orders may be resting at the time, so a single quote can move with little volume behind it. This is a general feature of pre-market trading rather than something the report measured.

Two CCB share lines, one unresolved mapping

CCB has two separately listed share lines, and the official investor FAQ treats them as distinct instruments.

Share line Exchange Ticker Listing date (per CCB investor FAQ)
H-shares Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, Main Board 939 October 27, 2005
A-shares Shanghai Stock Exchange 601939 September 25, 2007

The AD HOC NEWS report and Boerse Stuttgart’s instrument page both cite ISIN CNE1000002H1. Boerse Stuttgart lists the security with symbol C6T, WKN A0M4XF, euro trading and settlement currencies, and a Hong Kong dollar nominal currency. That combination explains why euro and HKD fields can appear together on a European instrument page. It does not show which CCB line the Lang & Schwarz quote tracks, and the sources reviewed do not explain how the ISIN maps to either listing.

For scale, CCB’s investor-relations profile put its market capitalization at approximately US$265,545 million at the end of 2025. That is a year-end figure, not a live value, and it says nothing about the October 2026 quote.

What the available sources do not establish

  • Which share line (939 or 601939) the EUR 1.10 quote reflects.
  • How the euro figure was derived, including any currency conversion from the underlying listing’s currency.
  • Which market-data feed supplied the observation.
  • Whether an independent exchange or primary Lang & Schwarz feed confirms the exact time and price. The figures come from a financial news report, not from the venue’s own published data.
  • Any trade that printed at EUR 1.10 in the session.

How to check a euro quote like this one

  1. Note the timestamp and session first. A pre-market figure from 07:59 CEST is a snapshot, and later quotes may differ.
  2. Compare the quote with the prior close on the same venue. Labels such as “unchanged” or “up” are only meaningful against that close.
  3. Look at the bid and ask, not only the headline price. A EUR 0.02 spread on a EUR 1.10 quote matters when you assess how much a fill could differ from the displayed price.
  4. Identify the listing. Check whether you are looking at the Hong Kong H-share (939) or the Shanghai A-share (601939), and confirm the currency in which that line trades.
  5. Check the official exchange listing for the current price and last trade, rather than relying on a single news snapshot.
  6. For company news and financial results, use CCB’s own investor announcements and reports instead of quote coverage.

Where this leaves the quote

The one verifiable statement is that AD HOC NEWS reported a EUR 1.10 pre-market quote on Lang & Schwarz at 07:59:45 CEST on October 8, 2026, up 1.85% from a EUR 1.08 close. The quote’s share line, conversion and feed are not established by the sources available. Any reader who needs a price for a decision should check a live, current quote from the relevant exchange.
