China Construction Bank at €1.09: The Quote Was Reported After Hours, Not Pre-Market

A €1.09 China Construction Bank quote was reported unchanged after hours on October 6, 2026. It is not verified as a pre-market price or linked to a specific share line.

The reported €1.09 quote for China Construction Bank was described as an after-hours price, not a pre-market quote. Ad Hoc News reported it unchanged from the prior close at Lang & Schwarz at 8:49 p.m. CEST on October 6, 2026, with a €1.08 bid and €1.10 ask. That is a dated secondary-market report, not confirmation of a live price or an official exchange opening price.

What the €1.09 quote does—and does not—tell you

The percentage change of 0.00% means the reported quote was unchanged against the prior close according to the report; it does not show that the stock had no trading, or that its price was risk-free. The report identifies Lang & Schwarz and an after-hours timestamp, but does not establish which China Construction Bank share line the quote represents or how the euro price was derived. The figure may now be stale.

Before treating a quote as current, check the instrument identifier, venue or provider, timestamp, trading session, currency and conversion basis, and whether the displayed figure is a bid, ask, last trade, or close. The €1.08 bid and €1.10 ask in the report are different sides of the quoted market; neither should be mistaken for the €1.09 reported price.

China Construction Bank has two listed share lines

China Construction Bank Corporation’s investor FAQ identifies two listings: H-shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Main Board under ticker 939, and A-shares on the Shanghai Stock Exchange under ticker 601939. The issuer gives their listing dates as October 27, 2005, and September 25, 2007, respectively. A quote described only as “China Construction Bank” is therefore not enough to identify which share line is being priced. See the issuer’s investor FAQ.

How pre-market differs from after-hours

Hong Kong pre-opening

For Hong Kong securities, the pre-opening session is a defined exchange process, not a general synonym for trading outside regular hours. China Construction Bank (Asia) says orders accumulate during the session and are matched during the pre-defined matching period at the final Indicative Equilibrium Price. That description applies to Hong Kong market context; it does not establish that a Lang & Schwarz euro quote is a Hong Kong pre-opening price. See CCB (Asia)’s pre-opening FAQ.

After-hours quotes and broker policies

The October 6 report explicitly labels its Lang & Schwarz observation after-hours. Trading availability and quote presentation depend on the venue, instrument, and provider. CCB (Asia)’s statement that its service does not support pre-market or after-hours trading concerns its US securities service only; it cannot establish what another broker or venue offers for CCB’s Hong Kong or Shanghai shares. See CCB (Asia)’s US securities service information.

Company scale is not a live share-price check

China Construction Bank’s investor-relations profile reports a market capitalisation of approximately US$265,545 million at the end of 2025. That is a historical issuer-reported figure, not a current valuation and not evidence that the €1.09 quote is accurate. The same profile lists 785 million personal customers, 12.73 million corporate customers, 378,344 staff members, and 14,614 operating entities at year-end 2025. See the 2026 investor-relations profile.

How to verify a current CCB quote

  1. Identify the share line: Hong Kong H-share ticker 939 or Shanghai A-share ticker 601939.
  2. Open the exchange or quote provider’s page for that exact instrument and confirm the venue and timestamp.
  3. Check whether the session is pre-opening, continuous trading, or after-hours; do not use one label for another.
  4. Confirm the currency and whether the figure is a bid, ask, last trade, or previous close. If shown in euros, verify the conversion basis rather than assuming it is the instrument’s native-market price.

The available report supports a specific dated after-hours observation, but not a verified current pre-market price. It does not support a buy-or-sell conclusion.
