A Kia Sportage HEV AWD LX is another verified low-price reference at $30,590 MSRP. Those figures do not establish a definitive ranking of the 10 cheapest models: comparable prices and eligible AWD trims for 10 SUVs are not verified, and destination charges are not reported consistently.
What the verified 2025 prices show
The figures below are U.S. manufacturer-published prices for 2025 models, not current used-car listings or guaranteed dealer transaction prices. They are useful reference points, but they are not a complete top-ten ranking. In particular, the price basis differs: Toyota excludes Dealer Processing and Handling, Honda provides both MSRP and a destination-included figure, and the retrieved Kia pricing information does not establish destination-charge treatment.
| Vehicle and qualifying AWD trim | Published price | Destination and other price qualifications | Fuel economy stated by the source |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2025 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid, S grade; AWD is standard on all Hybrid grades | $28,395 starting MSRP | Toyota says MSRP excludes Dealer Processing and Handling. See Toyota USA’s 2025 Corolla Cross announcement. | 42 mpg combined, manufacturer-estimated by Toyota. Toyota says the Hybrid model is offered in S, SE, Nightshade, and XSE grades, all with Electronic On-Demand AWD standard. |
| 2025 Kia Sportage HEV, LX AWD | $30,590 MSRP | Destination-charge treatment is not stated in the retrieved pricing information. See Kia America Media’s 2025 Sportage HEV pricing page. | Not stated in the cited pricing information. |
| 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid, Sport AWD | $36,150 MSRP; $37,545 including destination | The $37,545 figure includes a $1,395 destination charge. Honda says MSRP excludes tax, license, registration, destination, and options, and that dealer prices may vary. See American Honda’s January 3, 2025 pricing and EPA ratings release. | 40 city / 34 highway / 37 combined mpg, listed by Honda as EPA ratings for the Sport AWD Hybrid. |
| 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid, Blue HTRAC AWD | Not stated in the cited page text | Hyundai’s page says MSRP excludes freight, tax, title, and license; a usable base price was not established in the cited page text. See Hyundai’s 2025 Tucson Hybrid page. | 38 city / 38 highway / 38 combined mpg for Blue HTRAC AWD, as listed by Hyundai. |
The Corolla Cross Hybrid and Sportage HEV have the two lowest stated MSRP figures in this set, but do not treat the difference as a final out-the-door comparison: the destination basis is not established consistently. A dealer quote can also differ from MSRP.
Why this is not a defensible list of the 10 cheapest
A true price ranking needs the lowest trim that combines hybrid power with AWD for every candidate, plus prices presented on the same basis. The available manufacturer evidence does not establish those details for 10 qualifying SUVs. Adding models or assigning ranks without that information would make the list look more certain than the prices support.

There is another eligibility choice: whether “hybrid” includes plug-in hybrids (PHEVs). PHEVs can use a charging system and have different price and fuel-economy comparisons from conventional hybrids. Consumer Reports’ ratings guide, labeled “as of October 2025,” says the 2025 Ford Escape Plug-in Hybrid has no AWD available, so it does not qualify for an AWD list. That example does not settle eligibility or pricing for every other PHEV.
How to compare the real cost before buying
- Confirm the exact drivetrain and trim. Check that the price is for an AWD hybrid, not the cheapest non-hybrid version of the same SUV. The Toyota announcement, for example, identifies AWD as standard across all four 2025 Corolla Cross Hybrid grades.
- Put quotes on the same price basis. Ask the dealer to show MSRP, destination or freight, options, taxes, registration, and any dealer charges separately. Compare the resulting purchase quotes, not a destination-included number for one vehicle against a bare MSRP for another.
- Separate official fuel-economy figures from estimates. The Toyota figure is explicitly manufacturer-estimated; Honda labels its figures EPA Mileage Ratings. Honda cautions that actual mileage varies with driving, maintenance, conditions, battery-pack condition, and other factors. Hyundai’s cited figures are for the Blue HTRAC AWD configuration, not every Tucson Hybrid trim.
- Check fit and equipment against your use. Toyota lists seating for five in the Corolla Cross Hybrid and offers accessories including all-weather floormats, crossbars, an activity mount, and a tow hitch. Confirm exact year and trim compatibility before buying an accessory; the cited announcement does not establish fitment for every configuration.
- Use the dealer’s current written offer. MSRP is not the transaction price. Incentives, inventory, options, and dealer pricing vary, so compare the same configuration and fee breakdown at the time you shop.
What to take from the price evidence
For a 2025 U.S. AWD hybrid search, the Corolla Cross Hybrid is the clearest low-price reference supported here, followed by the Sportage HEV LX AWD on its stated MSRP. Honda’s CR-V Sport AWD Hybrid and Hyundai’s Tucson Hybrid Blue HTRAC AWD provide useful price or fuel-economy comparison points, but the sourced figures do not permit a complete, consistently priced top ten.
