Yes—used C8 Corvettes can be found at prices below $60,000, but “cheap” is relative, and the lowest online asking prices are not proof of a clean, comparable bargain. Kelley Blue Book’s 2026 Fair Purchase Price estimate for a 2020 Stingray Coupe was $54,700, while an Autotrader snapshot showed model-year listings starting below that figure for some years. Treat those starting prices as leads to verify, not the price most buyers should expect to pay.
How much is a used C8 Corvette?
For a 2020 C8 Stingray, Kelley Blue Book listed a Fair Purchase Price of $54,700 for the coupe and $57,300 for the convertible. KBB stated that these values were valid through October 3, 2026. They are estimates, not guaranteed dealer offers or universal asking prices; equipment, mileage, condition, and location can change the value.
The figures give shoppers a useful reference point for an early C8, not a quote for a specific car. Compare a listing with the estimate only after matching body style, mileage, equipment, condition, and location. See Kelley Blue Book’s 2020 Corvette valuation page.

These are volatile marketplace counts and asking-price floors from a single snapshot, not completed-sale prices or a consistent count of verified, clean-title cars under $60,000. An unusually low starting price may reflect a listing error, a vehicle’s condition or title status, or an outlier. Confirm the individual vehicle and its full price before treating the number as a real buying opportunity. View the Autotrader used C8 Corvette listings.
Are C8 Corvettes depreciating?
Kelley Blue Book’s page for a 2021 Stingray Coupe listed an estimated resale value of $54,200 and trade-in value of $49,400. It also estimated $14,390, or 20%, in depreciation over three years. These are estimates shown on KBB’s page at retrieval, not guaranteed future values or a prediction for any particular car. KBB says its depreciation estimate is based on comparable vehicles and auction data; an individual car’s mileage, condition, equipment, location, and market can produce a different result. Details are on Kelley Blue Book’s 2021 Stingray Coupe page.

How to tell whether a cheap used C8 is a good deal
Compare like with like, then investigate the specific car. A low advertised number is only the beginning: valuation estimates and asking prices answer different questions, and a car’s history and final out-the-door cost matter to your budget.
- Match the model year and trim. Compare Stingray listings with other Stingrays of the same year rather than mixing years or trims.
- Match the body style and equipment. Coupe and convertible values differ, and optional equipment affects comparability.
- Account for mileage and condition. KBB specifically notes that vehicle values vary with both.
- Check accident and title history. A marketplace listing does not independently verify a car’s history or title. Ask for the vehicle’s records and review the details before committing.
- Compare the actual total cost. Location can affect values, and fees change what you pay. Compare the dealer’s out-the-door price with the estimate, not just the advertised price.
- Verify suspiciously low listings. Confirm that the listing is current, the price applies to the exact car, and the seller can substantiate the vehicle’s condition and title.
What makes an early C8 different?
The 2020 C8 Stingray is a mid-engine Corvette with a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8. Kelley Blue Book lists fuel economy at 15 mpg city and 27 mpg highway for the 2020 model. Those specifications help identify the car, but they do not explain or guarantee its price.
