A TMedia Partners release reports that Chealse Sophia Howell sued Grant Cardone and Cardone Capital, LLC in Miami-Dade County on December 11, 2025. Howell alleges that social-media statements falsely accused her of criminal conduct and damaged her reputation and business relationships. Those are allegations, not findings by a court; the case’s current status has not been verified.
What is Howell suing Grant Cardone and Cardone Capital for?
A January 16, 2026 TMedia Partners release identifies the case as Chealse Sophia Howell v. Grant Cardone and Cardone Capital, LLC, filed in Florida’s Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court in and for Miami-Dade County. The release gives the case number as 25-024299-CA-01 and the filing date as December 11, 2025. It says Howell claims Cardone published and disseminated false, damaging statements about her on Instagram, X, LinkedIn and Facebook, including accusations of criminal conduct such as human trafficking in the Middle East. The release says Howell denies those accusations.
The allegations and filing details above are reported by a plaintiff-side news release, not independently established facts. The February 3, 2026 release lists five claims: defamation per se, defamation per quod, defamation by implication, tortious interference with advantageous business relationships, and tortious interference with contractual relations. The releases do not establish that the defendants committed any of these acts.
How much is Howell seeking?
The February 3 release says Howell seeks $500 million in compensatory and punitive damages, along with injunctive relief, attorneys’ fees and costs. It also says she demanded a jury trial. The $500 million is the amount the release attributes to her demand; it is not a court award, and the sources do not report that a judge or jury has assessed damages.

Has the court ruled, or is there a hearing date?
The available reporting does not establish the case’s current procedural status. The January release said the court had made no findings of fact as of its publication, but that does not establish whether any response, ruling, settlement or trial date followed. A search of the Miami-Dade Clerk’s civil court information page did not return a case-specific docket entry in the results available for this article. That failed search is not confirmation that the case has had no later activity.
The February release quotes Howell’s attorney, Douglas J. Jeffrey, saying, “This case is about the real-world consequences of digital defamation through social media.” Jeffrey also said the legal process would be used to vindicate Howell’s reputation. These are statements by her counsel, not conclusions of the court.
