The written-exam admit cards for Chandigarh Police’s 2024 Constable (Executive) (IT) recruitment were reported released on February 21, 2024, ahead of the March 3 written test. This was the 144-post IT Support recruitment—not the separate 2023 general Constable recruitment. The selection process has since advanced through later stages, so the link below is an archived official portal, not notice of an active exam or recruitment.
Archived official admit-card links
Chandigarh Police’s recruitment archive lists separate portals for the written examination and the later Physical Efficiency and Measurement Test (PE&MT):
- Chandigarh Police recruitment archive — find the 2024 Constable (Executive) (IT) recruitment entry and use its written-exam admit-card link.
- The archive also lists a separate PE&MT admit-card link for candidates who reached that stage. It is not the written-test card.
The archive’s continued listing of a link does not establish that candidate logins still work. The written exam and subsequent recruitment stages took place in 2024.
Who the 2024 admit card was for
The recruitment covered 144 temporary Constable (Executive) posts in the IT Support specialization. It was distinct from Chandigarh Police’s 2023 recruitment for general Constable (Executive) posts. Applications for the IT recruitment opened January 23, 2024, and closed February 13, 2024.

Written-test date and card release
Chandigarh Police scheduled the written Tier-I and Tier-II examinations for March 3, 2024. Its public notice said admit cards containing detailed instructions would be issued shortly; Scroll reported on February 21, 2024, that the written-test cards had been released that day. The release date is therefore attributed to that contemporaneous report, rather than to the official notice.
How candidates downloaded the card
- Open the official Chandigarh Police recruitment page and locate the 2024 Constable (Executive) (IT) recruitment entry.
- Choose the written-exam admit-card link, not the separate PE&MT link.
- Log in to the candidate portal with the registration credentials. The application instructions said applicants would receive a login ID and password by SMS and email.
- Download and print the admit card. Candidates were advised to keep their login credentials private.
Because this recruitment is complete, these steps describe the original process; they do not guarantee that the portal will accept a login now.

What candidates had to bring
For the written examination, Standing Order 57/2024 required candidates to bring a hard copy of the admit card, a recent passport-size photograph, and a signature in blue ink. The recruitment notice also required original physical identity proof at each stage. Candidates needed to follow the instructions printed on their own card and the applicable official notices.

The two cards related to different stages. The written-exam card was for the March 3 test. The PE&MT card applied only to candidates called for the later physical stage. Chandigarh Police initially listed PE&MT for July 5, 2024, for male candidates and July 6 for female candidates. A later official notice moved the female candidates’ date to July 10 and said fresh cards would not be issued. The recruitment archive records later results, merit-list and verification activity, confirming that the 2024 process is no longer an upcoming recruitment.
