Eligibility and selection process
Educational qualification
The notification gives a degree from a recognized university, or an equivalent qualification, as the broad educational requirement. This is not a complete eligibility checklist: age limits, category-specific provisions, exceptions and other conditions are governed by the full notification.
Stages of selection
The notification describes a selection route involving the preliminary examination, main examination and interview. For the applicable rules and examination scheme, refer to the CGPSC State Service Examination 2024 notification, which is hosted on a third-party site, and check the Commission’s own notices where available.

How to check later notices or results
Use the CGPSC’s official website and look for its notices, examination updates and results. Confirm that any notice applies to the 2024 State Service Examination before acting on it. The available information here does not establish whether the Commission later changed dates, issued amendments or published results.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Optional preparation material
A CGPSC-specific preparation guide may be useful for a future cycle, but no particular book, edition, listing or availability has been verified. Before choosing a resource, check its syllabus coverage, language, publication edition and whether it addresses both preliminary and main examination stages. The relevant syllabus and current notification should take precedence over any book’s claims.
