What happened to the application window?
Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) announced 341 vacancies in the Home (Police) Department for Subedar, Sub Inspector cadre and Platoon Commander posts. Applications opened on 23 October 2024 and closed on 21 November 2024, according to Scroll’s report published on 23 October 2024. This is a closed recruitment cycle, not an open application opportunity.
Correction dates were also in 2024
Scroll reported a free application-correction window from 22 to 24 November 2024, followed by a paid correction window from 25 to 27 November 2024. NDTV Education quoted the CGPSC notification as stating: “If a candidate has made an error in the online application and it has not been rectified during the free error correction period, then a paid error correction will be available from November 25, 2024, at 12 noon to November 27, 2024, until 11:59 pm. For this paid error correction, Rs. 500 will be charged. This error correction can be done online only once.” Those correction periods have passed.
What were the reported eligibility requirements?
Scroll’s 2024 recruitment report summarized the age range as 21–28 years as of 1 January 2024, with relaxation for reserved categories, and listed a graduation degree or equivalent from a recognized university as the education requirement. NDTV Education’s 28 October 2024 report gave minimum height figures of 168 cm for male applicants and 153 cm for female applicants.

Prelims, answer key and result updates
- 12 July 2026: The preliminary written exam was reported as conducted on this date.
- 13 July 2026: Jagran Josh reported that the provisional answer key was released; objections were accepted through 21 July.
- 3 August 2026: Jagran Josh reported the final or amended answer key date.
- 4 August 2026: FreeJobAlert reported that the prelims result was released and directed candidates to check the official result PDF.
The result is for the preliminary stage; it should not be treated as the outcome of the full selection process. A report published on 5 August 2026 said a mains date had not been announced in the information it reviewed at that time. That dated report does not establish whether CGPSC issued a later schedule. Check the Commission’s official notice page for the current status and any subsequent stage dates.
