Verdict: I cannot verify CF Merchants as an established, FCA-authorised UK broker from the information available for this review. That does not, by itself, prove the website is a scam—but it means prospective customers should treat it as unverified and high risk until its legal entity, regulator, permissions and contact details have been independently confirmed.
Do not rely on a trading platform’s logo, claimed licence number, positive testimonials or a person contacting you on WhatsApp. A broker is only properly verified when the exact firm and website match an entry on the relevant regulator’s register.
What is CF Merchants?
CF Merchants appears to present itself as an online trading or investment service. However, a credible broker review requires more than a brand name. The important questions are:
- Which legal company operates the service?
- Which financial regulator authorises it?
- What is the regulator reference number?
- Which website domains, telephone numbers and email addresses are covered by that authorisation?
- Where are customer funds held?
- What legal route exists if the firm refuses a withdrawal?
Unless those details can be checked against an official regulator’s records, CF Merchants should not be treated as a regulated broker. A trading website may be accessible, accept deposits and display account balances without having permission to provide financial services.

Is CF Merchants a legitimate broker?
There is not enough independently verifiable information to give CF Merchants a clean “legitimate” verdict. The appropriate conclusion is unverified—do not deposit money until independently checked.
This is different from saying that every person who has used the name is necessarily a fraudster. Some firms operate under a trading name that differs from their legal name. The problem is that customers need to know the legal entity behind the brand and whether that entity is authorised for the particular service being offered.

If CF Merchants claims to serve UK customers, check the FCA Financial Services Register. Search the legal company name, trading name and any reference number supplied by the firm. Do not stop after finding a similar name: clone firms often copy the name, address or registration number of a genuine business.
How to check CF Merchants before investing
- Find the legal entity. Look for the company’s full legal name in its terms and conditions, footer and account-opening documents. A first name, brand name or generic “investment group” is not enough.
- Search the regulator’s register directly. For a UK service, use the FCA Register rather than a link supplied by a salesperson. Check that the firm is authorised—not merely registered—and that its permissions cover the product being offered.
- Match the contact details. Compare the exact domain, email address, telephone number and office address with the regulator’s entry. A genuine firm’s details should not be replaced by a Gmail address, mobile number or different website.
- Check warnings. Search the FCA warning list and the regulator in the firm’s claimed home country. A firm not yet appearing on a warning list is not automatically safe; warning lists are not complete or immediate.
- Read the withdrawal terms. Look for clear rules on fees, processing times, identity checks and account closure. Vague terms or a demand for a large “release fee” are serious warning signs.
- Test the support process. Ask for the legal entity and authorisation details in writing. Do not let a caller rush you into making a payment while you are still checking.
Warning signs associated with questionable brokers
| Warning sign | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Guaranteed returns or “risk-free” profits | Investments and leveraged trading can lose money. Guarantees are commonly used to create false confidence. |
| Pressure to deposit immediately | Legitimate firms should allow time to review their documents and regulatory status. |
| Contact through WhatsApp, Telegram or social media | Unsolicited approaches make it harder to establish who is actually operating the account. |
| Requests to pay by cryptocurrency, gift card or personal bank account | These payment methods can make recovery difficult and may bypass normal business controls. |
| Extra money demanded before withdrawal | “Tax”, “insurance”, “compliance” or “unlocking” payments are common advance-fee tactics. |
| Remote-access software requests | Software such as AnyDesk or TeamViewer can expose banking credentials and one-time security codes. |
| Regulator details that do not match | Scammers may copy a real firm’s name, address or licence number while using different contact details. |
| Only a dashboard balance, with no independently verifiable trade records | A website balance is not proof that money has been invested or that profits are real. |
Do not confuse a broker website with investment protection
If CF Merchants is not authorised for the service it provides, customers should not assume they receive the protections associated with a regulated investment firm. In the UK, authorisation can be relevant to access to the Financial Ombudsman Service and the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, but protection depends on the firm, activity and product involved.

- BUILT FOR YOUR MARKET, FUTURES, STOCKS, FOREX, OPTIONS & CRYPTO: 4X is a mindset and process journal, not a strategy tool tied to one instrument. The plan, the trade log, the deep dive and the weekly review work the same whether you trade ES, EURUSD, SPY or BTC. Traders use it across all five markets every day.
- THE 2026 EDITION, REBUILT FROM TRADER FEEDBACK: Same trusted system, better in every way. An extra daily page for more room to log the session. Weekly reviews now grouped with each week's trades, so no more flipping back and forth. Crisp, darker print that's easy on the eyes after hours on a screen. A Quick-Start QR that scans straight to step-by-step instructions.
- NOT A NOTEBOOK, A COMPLETE 12-WEEK SYSTEM: Start with a one-time 9-part Trading Plan (your market, setups, risk rules and discipline checklist). Then twelve identical weeks: five Daily Logs, five Deep Dive trade pages, and a two-page Weekly Review. 189 guided pages, roughly 80 trades. Guided prompts walk you through every step. You never stare at a blank page.
- RATE YOUR EXECUTION, NOT YOUR RESULT: Your platform tracks the P&L. Nothing tracks the why. Log energy, sleep and mindset before the open; grade every trade A to F on whether you followed your plan, not on whether it won; then face the pattern every weekend with START / STOP / IMPROVE / CONTINUE. That review habit is the edge. You're 42% more likely to hit a goal you've written down.
- BUILT TO LAST, ARRIVES GIFT-READY: Vegan-leather hardcover, 100gsm bleed-resistant paper, two ribbon markers and an elastic closure band. Bound to lay flat so you're not fighting the spine while you write. 189 pages, 5.75" x 8.5", carries in a bag. Ships in a premium gift box: the gift every trader in your life actually wants.
FSCS protection is not insurance against a falling share price, a failed trading strategy or losses caused by leverage. It also does not turn an unauthorised clone firm into a protected broker. Always verify the specific firm and service before relying on any compensation claim.
What to do if you have already deposited money
- Stop sending funds. Do not pay a further withdrawal, tax or recovery charge.
- Contact your bank or card provider immediately. Explain that you may have been defrauded and ask whether a card chargeback, bank-transfer recall or fraud process is available. Speed matters.
- Secure your accounts. Change passwords from a clean device, especially if you shared them or installed remote-access software. Contact your bank if login or card information was exposed.
- Preserve evidence. Save emails, chat messages, phone numbers, payment receipts, wallet addresses, website URLs and screenshots of the account dashboard.
- Report it. UK victims can report suspected fraud to Action Fraud. You can also notify the FCA if the firm claims to offer regulated financial services.
- Beware of recovery scams. Fraudsters may contact previous victims promising to recover funds for an upfront fee. No recovery company can guarantee that money will be returned.
CF Merchants: advantages and disadvantages
| Potential positive | Limitation |
|---|---|
| The service may offer an online account and trading interface. | A functioning interface does not establish authorisation or the existence of real trades. |
| The brand may publish trading products or account types. | Marketing claims need to be matched with a legal entity and regulator permissions. |
| Customer support may be available. | Fast support is not evidence that deposited funds are safeguarded. |
| It may advertise attractive returns. | High or guaranteed returns are a risk signal, not a benefit, unless independently substantiated. |
Final assessment
CF Merchants does not currently meet the evidence standard I would want before calling it a legitimate broker. Until its precise legal entity, regulator authorisation and website details can be matched through an official register, the sensible decision is to avoid depositing money.
Rank #4
If you are already dealing with the service, a withdrawal problem or a request for an additional payment should be treated as a potential fraud indicator. Contact your bank and the relevant authorities rather than paying more to unlock the account.

Is CF Merchants a scam?
There is not enough independently verified information to prove that conclusion, but CF Merchants should be treated as unverified and high risk unless its exact legal entity and regulatory authorisation can be confirmed through an official register.
Recommended Free Tools
Best Value
Is CF Merchants regulated by the FCA?
Do not assume it is. Search the FCA Financial Services Register yourself and check that the legal entity, website and permissions match the service being offered.
Can CF Merchants guarantee profits?
No legitimate investment can guarantee profits from market trading. Promises of guaranteed or risk-free returns are a major warning sign.
What if CF Merchants asks for a fee before releasing my withdrawal?
Do not pay it. An advance payment described as tax, insurance, compliance or an unlocking fee is a common feature of investment scams. Contact your bank immediately.
Can I recover money sent to CF Merchants?
Recovery is not guaranteed, but contact your bank or card provider as soon as possible and provide all evidence. Report suspected fraud to the appropriate authorities and be cautious of firms promising recovery for an upfront fee.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: CF Merchants is not sufficiently verified for me to recommend it as a broker. Check the exact company and domain on the FCA Register before doing anything else. If those details cannot be matched, do not deposit funds; if you have already paid, stop communicating about further payments and contact your bank immediately.
