Short answer: CareSole’s Better Business Bureau record gives shoppers reason to be cautious, but it does not prove the company is a scam. BBB lists CareSole.com as unaccredited with an F rating and cites unanswered complaints among its rating factors. Consumer complaints and reviews describe problems with returns, support, delivery, charges, and products; those accounts are allegations and individual experiences, not independently verified findings.
What the BBB record says about CareSole
The Better Business Bureau’s CareSole.com business profile identifies the business in the shoe-manufacturers-supplies category, gives a New York address, and says its BBB file was opened on June 26, 2017. The profile says CareSole is not BBB accredited and displays an F rating. It cites 66 complaints overall and failure to respond to 55 complaints as rating factors.
Those figures describe what the profile displayed; they are not a customer failure rate. The BBB’s separate complaints page reports 67 complaints in the last three years and four closed in the last 12 months in the version returned for this review. The page-snapshot date was not stated, and the profile and complaints-page totals differ. Treat each as a time-sensitive BBB display, not as one audited or permanent count.
BBB also cautions readers about the limits of its profiles: “BBB does not verify the accuracy of information provided by third parties, and does not guarantee the accuracy of information in Business Profiles.” It says profiles are intended to help consumers exercise their own judgment and that complaint information should be considered in context. A BBB rating is a signal to investigate, not a legal finding of fraud.

What customers have reported
BBB-hosted complaints include accounts alleging difficulty getting return requests answered, calls disconnecting, delivery problems, duplicate charges, and products that stopped working. These are complainants’ descriptions of their experiences; the BBB page does not independently establish that every event occurred as described.
BBB’s customer reviews name plantar fasciitis foot wraps, insoles, knee sleeves, and a Radiance One light-based device. In a review dated November 7, 2024, one customer said a foot-wrap order arrived weeks later, did not work as expected, and would require the customer to pay return shipping. Other reviews describe dissatisfaction with support and returns. These are individual reports, not confirmation of current products, policies, or typical results.

Does this prove CareSole is a scam?
No. The BBB material supports saying that CareSole has a concerning complaint record and that the BBB displays an F rating. It does not establish that CareSole committed fraud, how many customers were affected, or whether a particular product works. The BBB pages also do not establish the company’s current operating status or current return policy.
That distinction matters when deciding what to do with the information. A complaint count without a verified number of customers cannot show the share of buyers who had problems. A low or high rating also does not, by itself, resolve whether a transaction was fraudulent. The most defensible description is specific: BBB lists the business as unaccredited with an F rating, and consumers have reported particular issues on BBB-hosted pages.

What to check before placing an order
Because reported concerns include returns, charges, delivery, and product performance, verify the terms shown for the specific item and transaction before paying. Do not assume that an address or policy mentioned in an older consumer account is still in use.
- Seller identity and contact: Check that the seller’s business name and contact details at checkout match the site you intend to buy from, and confirm that there is a support channel you can reach.
- Return terms: Find the exact return address, deadline, refund conditions, and who pays return postage. Save a copy or screenshot of the terms as displayed before purchase.
- Product details: For plantar fasciitis foot wraps or other foot-support products, compare sizing, intended use, adjustability, and materials against your needs. A customer review does not establish that a product is suitable for you.
- Price and checkout: Review the full checkout summary for added products, shipping charges, or other charges before confirming payment.
- Delivery and records: Check the stated delivery estimate and keep the product page, checkout summary, order confirmation, and support correspondence in case you need to resolve a dispute.
How to compare foot-support products
If you are considering foot-support products, compare the practical terms as well as the item itself. The BBB reviews make fit, returns, and support relevant points to check, but they do not establish which competing product is best.
