The outlet called it the first such signal in 14 months, but the reviewed accounts do not establish the exact crossover date or provide data to independently verify the calculation. A golden cross is a chart indicator, not a promise that ADA’s price will rise.
What the reported ADA golden cross means
A golden cross is the point at which a shorter-term moving average rises above a longer-term moving average. In the October 3 report, the averages were the 50-day and 200-day measures on ADA’s daily chart. Moving averages smooth past prices over their respective periods; their crossover describes a relationship between those historical averages, not a guaranteed direction for future prices.
PrimeXBT’s article, credited to U.Today, described the signal as the first daily golden cross in 14 months. That timing and the completed crossover are the outlet’s report; the material available here does not include a primary price series or reproducible calculation to confirm them independently. Read the PrimeXBT report.
Why the September 24 readings matter
A separate TokenPost report gave a September 24, 2026 end-of-day snapshot in which ADA’s 50-day simple moving average was $0.2070 and its 200-day average was $0.2141. The shorter average was still below the longer one in that snapshot, so those figures do not show a completed golden cross as of that date. They also are not current prices or proof of the later reported crossover. See TokenPost’s report.
#1 Best Overall
The two accounts can fit together if the crossover occurred after September 24. But the October 3 report does not establish the crossing timestamp or specify the data vendor, moving-average type, or candle-closing convention needed to reproduce it. Differences in observation date, daily versus intraday charts, simple versus exponential averages, price feed, or daily close are checks that could help reconcile chart readings; the reports do not identify which, if any, explains the difference.
Does a golden cross mean ADA will go up?
No. It is commonly treated as a bullish technical indicator because the shorter-period average has moved above the longer-period average, but that relationship does not guarantee future gains. The reports cited here do not establish a predictive success rate for this ADA signal, and the crossover alone is not evidence that a price increase will follow.

What the reported 14-month history does—and does not—show
PrimeXBT/U.Today says the preceding daily golden cross was in August 2025, that ADA briefly reached $0.92 on August 14, 2025, and that a daily death cross formed in November 2025. Those are historical claims from that outlet, not independently confirmed here. A later death cross in the same reported sequence is a reminder that the earlier crossover should not be presented as having predicted what happened next.
