What does the “no one is counting on an ADA recovery” claim establish?
By itself, the headline is not evidence of analyst consensus. The available material contains no named analyst forecast, dated survey, or report showing that expectations for ADA have shifted. It also does not provide comparable prices or returns for ADA, RETIK, and POL over the same period and in the same currency. Without those, the claim that analysts have abandoned an ADA recovery—and the suggestion that the other two assets are attracting more attention—remains unverified.
That distinction matters: network activity, protocol changes, and announced plans can describe what a project is doing, but they do not establish investor sentiment, future returns, or relative investment merit. The figures and project updates below are context, not price signals.
What Cardano’s current network information says about ADA
ADA’s role and governance
Cardano’s documentation describes ada as its native currency, used for network fees, deposits, and reward distribution. Cardano’s governance page says Protocol Version 11 was enacted on July 18, 2026, following governance approval. Those facts indicate ongoing protocol governance; they do not say whether ADA will recover in price.

Treasury activity and network use
Cardano’s treasury page, accessed October 7, 2026, reports that 20% of the reward pot goes to the treasury each five-day epoch. It lists 32 withdrawals totaling 532.4 million ada over the previous 12 months. These are live-page treasury figures: approval to withdraw funds shows what the community agreed to fund, not whether funded work was completed.
Cardano reported 681,555 transactions for the 30-day period from August 22 to September 21, 2026, with 224,614 attributed to showcased apps. These are activity measures for that stated period, not evidence of returns or future demand for ADA.

Announced initiatives are not proof of adoption
On September 23, 2025, the Cardano Foundation described plans involving DeFi liquidity, real-world-asset tokenization, a venture-hub allocation, and additional delegation to DReps. Input Output Global announced on June 8, 2026, a phased LayerZero integration intended to connect Cardano to more tokens during 2026. These are dated announcements about plans; neither establishes that the initiatives were completed, attracted users, or affected ADA’s price.
How RETIK and Polygon differ from ADA in the available evidence

What the MATIC and POL labels mean for a comparison
Polygon Support’s staking instructions show that the staking interface was updated from MATIC to POL. Because ticker and network context can differ, do not assume that every historical MATIC reference identifies the same asset or context as a current POL reference. Check the exact asset, network, and transaction details before acting; a ticker or interface change is not evidence of price performance.

The zkEVM status is separate: Polygon says its zkEVM Mainnet Beta sequencer was sunset on July 3, 2026. Polygon’s page says eligible assets held in self-custodied wallets at the time of sunset may be recovered through a dedicated claims interface, which is planned to retire on December 31, 2027. The page excludes assets locked in smart contracts from that interface. This update concerns Polygon zkEVM specifically; it should not be read as a statement that Polygon or POL has ended.

A credible comparison would need evidence on the same basis for all three assets. The available information is uneven: it describes some network functions and status, but not a complete investment comparison.

- Independent checks of project status: confirmation of whether announced products and milestones shipped and whether users can access them.
- Risks and context: the specific network, token, and product involved, including the distinction between Polygon zkEVM and Polygon’s broader ecosystem.
Until those gaps are filled, it is more accurate to describe Cardano governance and activity, Retik’s project-published plans, and Polygon’s specific status updates than to rank ADA, RETIK, and POL as recovery bets or alternatives.
