The Amazon Visa and Prime Visa can generally be used wherever Visa is accepted. The Amazon.com Store Card and Prime Store Card are not Visa cards and have narrower use: they’re available at selected merchants through Amazon Pay, with a specific In-Store Code checkout option at Whole Foods Market.
Where each Amazon card can be used

How to tell which card you have
Look at the card name and payment network. If it says Amazon Visa or Prime Visa and bears the Visa logo, it uses the Visa network. If it says Amazon.com Store Card or Prime Store Card, it is a Store Card, not a Visa card; don’t assume it will work wherever ordinary credit cards are accepted.
Using an Amazon Store Card outside Amazon
At an online Amazon Pay merchant
At a participating merchant, choose the Amazon Pay button and see whether the Store Card appears as a payment option. Availability is merchant-specific; an Amazon Pay checkout does not by itself mean the merchant accepts the Store Card. Amazon says the purchase total is charged to the card selected at checkout.
At Whole Foods Market
Whole Foods Market says the Amazon Store Card and Prime Store Card are accepted there with the In-Store Code. This is a specific checkout method, not evidence that the cards work in-store at other retailers. See Whole Foods Market’s FAQ.

Acceptance and rewards are different questions
A Visa card’s acceptance at a merchant does not mean the purchase earns the card’s highest Amazon-related rate. On the Chase product pages observed in 2026, Prime Visa rewards vary by eligible Prime membership, merchant and category: the page advertises 5% or 3% at eligible Amazon and Whole Foods purchases, 2% in listed categories, and 1% on other purchases. The Amazon Visa page lists 3% at Amazon.com, Audible.com, Whole Foods Market and Chase Travel, 2% in listed categories, and 1% on other purchases. These are issuer-published rates, not guarantees for every transaction; eligibility rules and terms apply.
Chase’s terms also include exclusions, including certain Amazon Pay transactions and international Amazon retail sites. Check the current offer and card agreement before relying on a particular rate, since rewards and terms can change. The Store Card’s acceptance at a selected merchant likewise does not establish that a particular purchase qualifies for a specific promotional financing offer or reward.

What “anywhere Visa is accepted” does—and doesn’t—mean
Chase’s network statement describes the Prime Visa’s reach, not guaranteed approval of every individual transaction. A merchant may not accept a particular card for a transaction, and the issuer may decline a purchase. The cited pages do not give a comprehensive list of countries or merchants for each product. For an international purchase or another edge case, confirm acceptance with the merchant and issuer before relying on the card.
