Mattel offered the HYB84 doll as a made-to-order Barbie The Movie collectible through Mattel Creations. The order window was limited: it opened August 4, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. PT and closed August 18, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. PT. Mattel’s official product page now displays “Pre-order Sold Out” and “Sold Out.”
Mattel’s U.S. page displayed $50 when checked, while the UK page displayed £46. These are regional page-displayed figures, not current purchase prices; the UK page also noted that displayed prices include duties and taxes and separately showed a £10 standard shipping message. A sold-out listing does not confirm that an order can be placed at those prices.
What came with the HYB84 doll?
Mattel identified Javier Meabe as the designer and described the doll as having a Made to Move body type. Its look includes short, tousled hair, face markings, a bright pink dress with colorful artwork and puffy sleeves, and green snakeskin boots. Mattel says colors and decorations may vary.

These terms applied to Mattel’s 2023 offer, not necessarily to a resale purchase. Mattel charged the payment account on the order date. During the preorder window, buyers could cancel by contacting Customer Service; after the window closed, orders were final. The expected ship date was to appear on the product page and could be as late as one year after ordering.

If a revised expected ship date moved more than 30 days beyond the original expected date, Mattel said it would notify the buyer and provide an opportunity to request a refund. Those historical terms should not be assumed to govern transactions with current third-party sellers.
Where can you look for related official Barbie movie merchandise?
Mattel’s Barbie The Movie collection lists other movie merchandise, including Barbie dolls in different outfits, Ken and Allan dolls, President Barbie, mini-doll sets, vehicles, a Hot Wheels RC Corvette, and UNO. These are related products, not substitutes for the HYB84 Weird Barbie doll.

If comparing options, check the exact character and look, product format, intended use, and current availability and price on the selling page. A full-size collectible doll, a mini-doll set, a vehicle, and a card game are different kinds of purchases. Do not treat an unverified resale price as equivalent to Mattel’s former list price.
