What Walmart+ includes
The included choice is between two ad-supported tiers: Peacock Premium and Paramount+ Essential. They are alternatives, not two subscriptions bundled together. Walmart’s current help page says, “Members can only have one streaming benefit at a time.” Walmart’s current benefit details describe the selection as one service at a time.

Walmart announced the addition of Peacock on September 1, 2025, alongside its existing Paramount+ choice. The announcement described an ad-supported selection and a 90-day switching interval. That announcement also stated a $98 annual Walmart+ price at the time; it is a historical figure, not a verified current membership price. Read Walmart’s September 2025 announcement.
How to activate your streaming choice
- Sign in to the Walmart account that has the Walmart+ membership.
- Open Account, then Walmart+, and find the streaming selection in the Benefits Hub.
- Select Get Peacock or Get Paramount+.
- Sign in to an existing account with that streaming provider or create one, then complete the linking steps shown.
The benefit is attached through the Walmart account and the selected provider account. Follow the account-specific prompts in the Walmart streaming-choice help page if the tile or linking options differ.

How switching between Peacock and Paramount+ works
You can change the selection once every 90 days. In the Walmart+ account hub, open the Video Streaming Choice tile or the tile for your current streaming benefit, confirm that you are eligible to change, choose the other service, and complete its linking flow. If you want to keep your current service, you do not need to take action.
What if you already pay for the service?
If you subscribe directly to the service you want to select, Walmart says you must cancel that subscription and wait for its final billing cycle to end before activating the Walmart+ benefit. Canceling alone may not be enough if the paid period is still active. Check the subscription’s billing status with the provider before attempting to link it through Walmart.

Can you pay extra to remove ads?
Walmart’s current help page lists optional upgrades billed through Walmart. The listed amounts are additional fees, plus tax, and may change:

These prices are the amounts listed on Walmart’s current help page, not a guarantee of future pricing. Peacock announced a $6 monthly Premium Plus upgrade price in June 2026, but Walmart’s current page lists $7 per month for its upgrade. Check the price displayed in your Walmart+ account before adding an upgrade. Walmart says members can manage or downgrade an upgrade through their Walmart+ account; paid Walmart+ membership is required to purchase an upgrade.

Who is eligible?
Walmart+ requires a U.S. billing address and has limitations in some U.S. territories. Streaming availability in Puerto Rico depends on the selected provider’s requirements. Trial members may use the streaming choice, but only paid Walmart+ members can buy the paid upgrades. Walmart’s terms allow benefit providers, plans, prices, availability, and eligibility to change or be discontinued, so the account hub is the best place to confirm what is currently available to you.
