Yes. Amazon Autos lets shoppers browse and purchase new Hyundai vehicles from participating U.S. dealerships, with the dealer providing the car and arranging pickup. The launch-era reports describe online steps for choosing a vehicle, considering a trade-in, arranging payment or financing, and completing most paperwork—but they do not establish current October 2026 availability or terms in any particular location.
What buying a Hyundai on Amazon actually means
Amazon Autos is the online shopping and checkout channel; it does not replace the Hyundai dealer that supplies the vehicle. At launch, WIRED reported that shoppers could browse nearby dealer inventory and complete most purchase steps online, then schedule pickup at the dealership. It explicitly reported that Amazon would not ship the vehicles (WIRED, December 10, 2024).
So “buying on Amazon” means using Amazon Autos to shop and handle parts of the transaction—not having a Hyundai delivered to your home by Amazon. The participating dealer remains central to the sale and pickup.
How the reported shopping and checkout flow works
WIRED’s December 2024 account described this sequence. The exact options available to a buyer should be confirmed with the listing dealer.

- Browse local Hyundai inventory. Search for a new Hyundai at nearby participating dealerships.
- Choose a vehicle configuration. The reported flow allowed shoppers to narrow options such as trim, color, and interior features.
- Consider a trade-in. WIRED described a trade-in valuation from an independent third party. A valuation is not necessarily a final offer; check the amount, conditions, and any loan-payoff handling with the parties involved.
- Review payment options. The launch report described paying in full or seeking financing. Autoweek later reported that a CES demonstration included financing through Hyundai Capital America, along with a trade-in and loan payoff. That demonstration does not establish that the same provider, terms, or features are currently available to every shopper (Autoweek, January 9, 2025).
- Complete most paperwork online. WIRED reported electronic signing of most purchase paperwork; confirm what remains to be signed or handled with the dealer.
- Arrange dealership pickup. The reported process ends with scheduling pickup at the participating Hyundai dealer, not Amazon delivery.
Availability figures are historical, not a current coverage map
Rollout reports gave different counts at different dates. They should not be read as proof that Amazon Autos covers a particular city or dealer today.

For a purchase now, check Amazon Autos for a local listing and verify directly with the participating dealer that the vehicle and the stated transaction options are still available. The cited reports do not establish current inventory, participating locations, financing offers, or checkout terms.

Online checkout can make browsing convenient, but it does not by itself show whether a particular offer is the best fit for your budget. Compare the actual vehicle and terms rather than relying on a headline price or monthly payment.
