Not on the evidence available. Ford lists a 700-hp supercharger kit for certain 5.0L F-150s, but its current price, installation cost, and configuration-specific fitment are not established here. Ford’s 2026 Raptor R is rated at 720 hp, but its listed starting MSRP is $79,005—before any transaction-specific costs. Neither route demonstrates a brand-new, completed 705-hp F-150 for less than $45,000.
What the factory and Ford Performance figures actually say
The headline’s 705-hp and sub-$45,000 combination is not supported by the published figures cited below. Ford does document two relevant routes: a factory high-output truck and a supercharger kit for the 5.0L V8. Their stated outputs are not interchangeable with an independently measured result, and the kit listing does not establish a complete build budget.
| Route | Published output | What the figure describes | Price information established |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 F-150 Raptor R | 720 hp; 640 lb-ft | Ford’s model-year specification for its factory Raptor R | $79,005 starting MSRP for the 2026 Raptor model page; not a complete transaction quote |
| 5.0L F-150 with Ford Performance kit M-6066-F150SCA | 700 hp; 590 lb-ft | Ford Performance’s stated kit output for listed 2021–2026 5.0L F-150s; not an independent test | Current kit price and installed build cost not stated by the reviewed listing |
| Standard 2026 F-150 5.0L V8 | 400 hp | Ford’s model-year engine specification, before the listed supercharger kit | Not stated here as a complete vehicle price for a matching configuration |
Ford’s 2026 F-150 Raptor page supplies the Raptor starting MSRP and Raptor R output. Ford’s 2026 F-150 page lists the standard 5.0L V8 at 400 hp. Ford Performance’s M-6066-F150SCA listing describes a 700-hp, 590-lb-ft kit for 2021–2026 F-150s with the 5.0L V8.
Can a 700-hp F-150 build stay under $45,000?
The published kit output makes a modified 5.0L F-150 a relevant possibility to investigate, but it does not prove the budget works. A realistic total must include a new truck that matches the kit’s fitment, the kit itself, installation, and any other costs required for the particular truck and build. The cited Ford Performance listing does not state the kit’s current price, installed cost, detailed configuration restrictions, or all applicable supporting requirements. Without those figures, adding the kit’s output to an assumed truck price would create a budget estimate rather than a verified under-$45,000 build.

Why the Raptor R is not the under-$45,000 answer
The Raptor R is the documented factory route in these sources for a 720-hp F-150, with 640 lb-ft listed by Ford. But Ford’s 2026 Raptor page gives a starting MSRP of $79,005, so it is already well above the stated budget before considering a specific vehicle’s transaction costs. That MSRP is a starting figure for the Raptor model page, not a quote for every truck or buyer.

Does Ford’s 900-hp Raptor R project change the calculation?
No. In a November 4, 2025 announcement, Ford described a demonstration Raptor R fitted with a 3.0L Whipple supercharger. Ford said the project truck’s stated output rose from a 720-hp baseline to over 900 hp, and explicitly identified the vehicle as a demonstration truck, not for sale. That announcement does not establish a retail complete truck, a purchasable kit with confirmed pricing, or a sub-$45,000 build. See Ford’s Raptor R project announcement.

What to verify before treating the headline as a real deal
- Choose the exact new F-150 5.0L configuration and get its current price in writing.
- Confirm that Ford Performance lists the exact model year and configuration as compatible with M-6066-F150SCA; the broad 2021–2026 listing alone does not resolve every fitment detail.
- Get current kit and installation quotes, plus written confirmation of any other required work.
- Review the applicable warranty terms for the exact vehicle and installation.
- Add the documented amounts and compare the total with $45,000. Treat the horsepower as Ford’s 700-hp kit claim unless an independent measurement of the completed truck is provided.
