TD SYNNEX’s Digital Bridge AI Assistant is designed to bring distribution information into the collaboration tools partner teams already use, helping sales staff find answers and respond to customers faster. Partners interviewed by CRN expected productivity and sales benefits, but their comments do not establish that the assistant has increased bookings. One executive called it early-stage “agentic decision support” and said his company planned to measure the results.

What TD SYNNEX Digital Bridge does

PartnerFirst Digital Bridge is an integration layer that connects TD SYNNEX systems with partner workflows. Its AI Assistant can surface product details, alternatives, pricing, availability, logistics, order status, invoice information, and curated vendor or enablement content in collaboration apps. TD SYNNEX describes the assistant as part of that broader integration offering, not as a standalone consumer AI product. The company’s current U.S. Digital Bridge AI Assistant page describes a Microsoft Teams experience and says users authenticate with PartnerFirst Commerce credentials.

The practical goal is to reduce the need to switch between systems or ask colleagues for routine distribution information. A salesperson could look up availability or an order status while responding in a collaboration tool; the assistant’s value depends on whether the answer is current, accurate, and available to that user.

Which collaboration apps support it?

TD SYNNEX announced the Microsoft Teams assistant for North America on November 18, 2025. In an August 26, 2026 update, the company said Digital Bridge AI assistants were also live in Slack and Webex. That is the company’s reported availability as of the update; capabilities differ by application and may change.

In its launch announcement, TD SYNNEX SVP and CIO for North America Nate Herz said the assistant brings “trusted intelligence and personalized data into the tools they already use.” The statement describes the product’s intent, not an independently verified accuracy or sales result.

What partner teams expect—and what they have measured

CRN interviewed leaders at Abacus Group, Burwood Group, and BrunNet about the assistant and their Digital Bridge workflows. Their accounts point to plausible benefits: quicker access to product information, less time spent on routine work, and faster customer responses. They are interview statements and expectations, not results from a controlled test of the AI assistant.

Abacus Group: bookings are a goal to measure

Anthony J. D’Ambrosi, CEO of Abacus Group, said, “I expect my bookings per rep will grow at a faster rate because of this technology and technology interface.” He also described the capability at the time as “the early stages of what I would call ‘agentic decision support’” and said the company planned to measure bookings. That distinction matters: he stated an expectation and a measurement plan, not a demonstrated increase attributable to the assistant.

Burwood Group: estimated time savings and a planned demonstration

Dani Lockett, Burwood Group’s vice president of sales operations, said, “The partner community spoke up, and TD Synnex listened.” She estimated that Digital Bridge saved the company’s sales representatives and procurement operations employees at least an hour or two per day, and said she planned to demonstrate the new capability to her sales team. The time figure is her estimate about Digital Bridge workflows; it is not an independently measured result for all users or proof of sales growth from the AI feature.

BrunNet: faster responses and an existing workflow link

BrunNet CEO Adam Sprague said, “We can respond back to customers pretty much in real time with the information they are looking for from us.” He discussed Digital Bridge’s existing link to Autotask and anticipated benefits from proactive sales insights. CRN’s article reported that eight BrunNet sales team members were then using the platform; that is a dated account, not a current user count.

CRN’s partner interviews support the case that these teams see workflow potential. They do not establish that the AI assistant caused a measured increase in bookings, revenue, or close rates.

How to tell whether an AI sales assistant is paying off

Partners should separate adoption and efficiency from sales outcomes. A tool may save time or improve response speed without changing bookings; bookings can also shift for reasons unrelated to the tool. A useful evaluation pairs a baseline with a defined rollout and tracks both workflow measures and business results.

  1. Set a baseline. Before rollout, record relevant measures such as time to answer common product questions, response time to customer requests, and bookings per representative. Define the period and teams being compared.
  2. Track use and answer quality. Measure active usage, the types of questions asked, how often answers are accepted or corrected, and how frequently staff must escalate to a person or another system.
  3. Measure time saved separately. Use a consistent method—such as sampled task timing or structured staff logs—and identify which roles and workflows are included. Do not treat a time estimate as a sales result.
  4. Evaluate sales outcomes over an appropriate period. Compare bookings or conversion measures against the baseline and, where feasible, a similar group not yet using the feature. Account for other changes that could affect results, such as staffing, pricing, pipeline mix, or promotions.
  5. Review access and operational fit. Confirm that the assistant can use the relevant live data, respects existing permissions, provides a route to verify or escalate uncertain answers, and fits the team’s collaboration, CRM, and PSA workflows. Assess training and implementation effort as part of the cost.

TD SYNNEX reported nearly 30 percent average growth among customers regularly transacting across its digital offerings compared with customers not leveraging those solutions. That is a company-reported comparison across digital offerings—not an isolated test of the Digital Bridge AI Assistant and not proof that the assistant caused growth. It cannot substitute for a partner’s own baseline and outcome tracking.

What partners should compare before adopting an AI sales workflow

Digital Bridge’s distribution and vendor information may be useful when a partner’s sales process depends on TD SYNNEX data. A sensible comparison with other tools focuses on the partner’s actual systems and controls rather than the label “agentic AI.”

  • Data access and freshness: Can the tool retrieve the product, price, stock, order, and account information the team needs, and can users tell where an answer comes from?
  • Integration fit: Does it work in the collaboration app the team uses and connect appropriately with the CRM or PSA workflow, without creating duplicate steps?
  • Permissions and audit handling: Does it honor user access rules, and can the organization review activity and investigate incorrect or sensitive answers?
  • Accuracy and escalation: How does the tool handle missing, stale, or ambiguous information, and can a salesperson verify an answer before making a customer commitment?
  • Rollout and measurement: What training and process changes are needed, and is there a plan to distinguish adoption, time savings, response speed, and bookings effects?

The available partner accounts describe use cases and expectations, not an independent comparative product test. The right choice therefore depends on verified capabilities in the partner’s own environment and a measurement plan suited to its sales process.
