A Skytech Shadow 4 with an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB was reported at $1,063.99 after a sale and two coupon codes in May 2026. That is a useful example of how a complete PC can undercut buying components separately, but the offer is historical, not a confirmed live deal. Before buying any similar system, verify its final delivered price, GPU memory, component models, return terms, and warranty.
What was the deal, and is it still available?
The Skytech Shadow 4 offer covered by Tom’s Hardware on May 6, 2026 was $1,063.99 after a $200 sale reduction and the coupon codes MAY100 and SWARM. Those codes were time-limited. The reported price should be treated as a past example—not as an offer available now—unless the seller’s checkout confirms it.
The report does not establish a current price, stock status, shipping cost, delivery estimate, return window, or marketplace seller for that historical offer. Nor does it verify those terms for a current Shadow 4 listing. Check them directly before placing an order; sales tax also varies by location. The reported system warranty was one year, but confirm the terms for the exact listing and seller rather than assuming every similarly named configuration has identical coverage.
The broader reason to compare a prebuilt is that graphics-card prices have been volatile. PC Gamer’s price tracking reported the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB rising from about $430 at a lower point to about $650, a roughly 51% increase. Those are observations from its tracking, not a guaranteed price at every retailer today. See PC Gamer’s year-long price-tracking report.

What components did the historical Shadow 4 include?
The May deal coverage reported the following configuration. It did not identify every component by manufacturer and model, so the headline specifications alone are not a complete quality audit.
| Part | Reported specification | What to verify on a current listing |
|---|---|---|
| Graphics card | GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, 16GB | Confirm it is the 16GB card, and check the card maker and cooler. |
| Processor | Intel Core i5-14400F | Confirm the exact CPU; the F suffix means it has no integrated graphics. |
| Memory | 16GB DDR5-6000 | Check whether it is one module or a two-module kit, and whether the advertised speed requires enabling a memory profile. |
| Storage | 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD | Check the SSD model and available M.2 slots; capacity alone does not establish speed, endurance, or upgrade options. |
| Motherboard | B760 chipset | Manufacturer, exact board, VRM, DIMM count, M.2 slots, wireless support, and connector layout were not stated in the deal report. |
| Power supply | 650W, Gold-rated | Manufacturer and model were not stated. The efficiency rating alone does not establish build quality. |
| Case and cooling | Compact mid-tower with mesh front, glass side, and four case fans | Confirm the actual case, fan arrangement, CPU cooler, clearances, and airflow. |
| Operating system | Windows 11 | The report did not state the edition. |
| Warranty | One-year system warranty, according to the deal coverage | Read the exact seller’s warranty terms, including who handles service and whether shipping or labor is covered. |
The reported specifications come from Tom’s Hardware’s deal coverage. A listing that says only “Gold PSU” or “B760 motherboard” leaves meaningful questions unanswered.
Why a complete PC can beat a DIY parts list
A fair comparison is not the graphics card plus processor against the PC’s sale price. A DIY build also needs a motherboard, memory, storage, power supply, case, CPU cooling, and a Windows license if required. Depending on the buyer’s setup, it may also need Wi-Fi, peripherals, assembly time, and troubleshooting. System builders may benefit from bulk purchasing, bundles, and inventory promotions, then spread licensing, assembly, shipping, and support costs over many systems. That can make a complete computer surprisingly competitive, though it does not make every prebuilt a bargain.

Tom’s Hardware estimated that the Shadow 4’s GPU, RAM, and CPU alone represented roughly $919 at the time of its May 2026 article. That is a historical estimate, not a current component quote, and it excludes the rest of the build. Do not use it as an August 2026 parts price. The useful lesson is to compare all equivalent components at current prices, rather than relying on an old list-price saving or a GPU-only calculation.

- Start with the actual checkout total. Add required discounts only if they still work, then account for shipping and the tax shown for your location.
- Price a like-for-like DIY build. Include every required part, Windows if needed, and any Wi-Fi or cooling you would otherwise buy.
- Account for what the prebuilt adds. Consider assembly, support, the warranty, and the convenience of receiving a working system.
- Discount uncertainty. An unnamed PSU, single-stick memory, or unclear upgrade path is a real compromise, not a reason to assume the parts are premium.
- Compare alternatives at the same total budget. A faster GPU in another complete PC may be a better gaming purchase even if the 5060 Ti system has more memory or a stronger processor.
What the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB does—and does not—buy
NVIDIA lists the RTX 5060 Ti with Blackwell architecture, 4,608 CUDA cores, GDDR7 memory, a 128-bit memory interface, ray tracing, DLSS 4, and frame-generation features. The card is sold in both 8GB and 16GB configurations, so check the capacity in the exact listing. NVIDIA’s specifications are at its RTX 5060 family page.
The 16GB version offers more memory headroom for demanding textures, some newer games, mods, and certain creative or local AI workloads. It does not make the GPU a higher performance tier by itself: compute capability and the 128-bit memory interface still matter. DLSS upscaling and frame generation can improve perceived smoothness in supported games, but generated frames are not equivalent to native-rendered frames and do not erase base-rendering, latency, or CPU limits.

Set expectations by resolution
- 1080p: A sensible match for high-refresh gaming, with results depending on the title and settings.
- 1440p: A reasonable target, especially when using upscaling or adjusting demanding settings.
- 4K: Possible in some games with reduced settings and upscaling, but not a safe blanket promise for demanding new releases.
- Ray tracing: Can be demanding; DLSS and frame generation may help, but their effect varies by game and mode.
Tom’s Hardware similarly positioned a 16GB RTX 5060 Ti system for 1080p and 1440p, with 4K dependent on settings, in its coverage of another PC: the $1,399 Skytech King 95 deal. That coverage does not establish a universal frame rate for the Shadow 4.
Where the Shadow 4 makes compromises
16GB of system memory is a starting point
Sixteen gigabytes can run games, but 32GB is a more comfortable target for current games alongside browsers, launchers, streaming, and background applications. Find out whether the included memory is one 16GB stick or two 8GB sticks; a single module can constrain memory bandwidth. Also verify the number of motherboard DIMM slots and whether an upgrade would mean replacing the kit. DDR5-6000 is the reported rating, but a system may need its memory profile enabled to run at the advertised speed.

The processor is capable, but the platform matters
The Core i5-14400F is an older but capable gaming CPU and a reasonable pairing for a midrange graphics card. Because it has no integrated graphics, diagnosing a display problem without the discrete GPU is less straightforward. Buyers focused on future CPU upgrades should compare the motherboard and platform carefully rather than judging the computer by the processor name alone.
More expensive is not automatically better balanced. The $1,399 King 95 example paired the RTX 5060 Ti with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, a high-end gaming CPU. That can suit CPU-heavy games, but in many titles the graphics card may be the limiting component, making a more powerful CPU a less effective use of the budget than a faster GPU.
Unidentified parts make upgradeability uncertain
Before purchase, look for the PSU’s manufacturer and model, the motherboard model, SSD model, CPU cooler, wireless connectivity, and the number of expansion slots. Check that the GPU is a standard removable PCIe card, that the case accepts standard parts, and that the PSU uses standard connectors. A compact case can still be upgradeable, but airflow, cooler clearance, and connector choices determine what fits. “650W Gold” describes power capacity and efficiency certification, not the PSU’s overall quality.

How AMD alternatives change the value calculation
The comparison is not simply Nvidia versus AMD. It is the complete PC’s price and component quality against what another system offers in conventional gaming performance, ray tracing, upscaling, frame generation, memory, creator-app compatibility, power use, warranty, and upgrade path.
In a mid-August 2026 price snapshot, PC Gamer reported the Radeon RX 9070 at about $650—roughly the cited price of the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB—and said the RX 9070 outperformed it in the outlet’s tested games. The result depends on game and test conditions, and the prices are a dated snapshot rather than a universal live quote. See PC Gamer’s comparison and price report. At those GPU-only prices, the 5060 Ti is harder to justify unless a complete system bundles it attractively or the buyer specifically values Nvidia features or software support.
The same price report discusses Radeon alternatives, including the RX 9070 GRE, but the available pricing does not establish a current, verified complete-PC offer for either Radeon model. Compare live systems and checkout totals rather than treating a card-level comparison as a ready-made shopping recommendation.

- Read the warranty, return window, restocking terms, and who handles support; note whether return shipping is your responsibility.
- Confirm who sells the PC if it appears on a marketplace, and whether that seller honors the stated support terms.
- Re-enter any coupon codes at checkout and compare the final total after shipping and applicable tax.
For a current alternative, ZOTAC’s official store listed its MEK RTX 5060 Ti 16GB system at $1,999.99 and in stock in an August 2026 snapshot. The configuration included a Ryzen 7 9700X, 32GB DDR5-6000, 1TB NVMe SSD, 850W Gold PSU, Wi-Fi 6E, Windows 11 Home, a 360mm cooler, a one-year system warranty, and a three-year GPU warranty. Price and stock can change; check ZOTAC’s product page for current terms. At that snapshot price, it is a premium system, not a value substitute for a roughly $1,000–$1,400 deal.
