Yes—but the “under $47” claim refers to an ALDI U.S. Thanksgiving promotion announced in 2024, not a confirmed 2026 price. ALDI said its individually purchased groceries could make a meal for 10 for less than $47, assuming a 16-pound turkey. The advertised total was a retailer estimate, and prices and availability could vary by store.
What ALDI’s $47 Thanksgiving offer included
ALDI described a set of groceries for preparing a Thanksgiving meal, not a preassembled box or meal kit. Its 2024 list included a Butterball turkey and spices, gravy, rolls, macaroni and cheese, stuffing, and ingredients for cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, and pumpkin pie. The release did not provide a complete item-by-item cost breakdown, so the under-$47 figure is ALDI’s estimate for the list—not an independently audited total.
ALDI’s October 16, 2024 announcement said the meal was planned for 10 and assumed a 16-pound turkey. It gave the promotion window as October 16 through November 27, 2024, and noted that product availability and prices could vary by store.
How the offer compares with ALDI’s 2025 promotion
ALDI announced a separate Thanksgiving offer in 2025: $40 for 10 people, or $4 per person. It used a 14-pound Jennie-O turkey and a different list of items. ALDI said shoppers bought items individually and that prices were effective October 15 through December 24, 2025; online prices could differ slightly from local in-store prices.

|---|---|---|---|
| 2024 | Less than $47 for 10; less than $4.70 per person | 16-pound Butterball turkey | October 16–November 27, 2024; availability and prices could vary by store. |

The later offer had a lower advertised total, but the two promotions are not a like-for-like price comparison: the turkey size and brand, item lists, and stated terms differed. Both totals were retailer-announced promotional figures, not measured averages of grocery costs.

No 2026 Thanksgiving offer or price is established here. The $47 figure belongs to the 2024 promotion, and the $40 figure belongs to the 2025 promotion; neither confirms what a local ALDI will charge this year.
