Cambria Gold Mines says it is targeting commissioning the Premier mill at 2,500 tonnes per day in Q4 2027, with ramp-up continuing through 2028. Its October 5, 2026 update also reports a final authorization for Red Mountain access-road work, ongoing remediation at Premier’s water-treatment plant, more than CA$45.9 million received from warrant exercises, and a proposed share settlement of quarterly interest. These are company-reported developments and targets, not confirmation that production has restarted or that future milestones will be met.
Cambria Gold Mines Inc. (TSXV: CAMB; OTCQX: CAMVF) is advancing its Premier and Red Mountain gold projects near Stewart in northwestern British Columbia. The company’s October 5, 2026 announcement describes construction and engineering work, permitting, water-treatment efforts, new hires and financing-related activity.
When does Cambria expect the Premier mill to restart?
Cambria says the Premier mill operated as recently as 2025 and is in excellent condition. It expects to complete the upgrades needed to restart processing Premier material in 2027, then target commissioning at 2,500 tonnes per day in Q4 2027. The company expects ramp-up to continue through 2028; the release does not give a production forecast or confirm that commissioning or ramp-up will occur on that schedule.
Planned mill work
- Install a new primary jaw crusher and feeder.
- Repurpose an unused clarifier as a pre-leach thickener.
- Before introducing Red Mountain material, add a fine-grinding mill and a second detox tank.
The restart work is described in stages: upgrades for Premier material are planned first, while additional equipment is specified for processing Red Mountain material later. Cambria describes Red Mountain as intended to supplement accessible Premier mineralization after construction is complete.

What is happening with the Red Mountain access road?
Cambria says it received the final permit for access-road construction—the Fisheries Act Authorization—on September 21, 2026. The authorization allows in-stream work in Bitter Creek and rebuilding sections of an older road that were washed out in a 2013 storm. The company says construction is advancing toward Bromley Humps, roughly 12 km from Highway 37A, and that it is working toward reaching the area by the end of 2026.
CEO Robert McLeod said: “Sufficient mineralization is accessible at PGP to commence mining, which would be subsequently augmented by Red Mountain once construction is complete,” adding that the company was pushing to reach Bromley Humps by year-end. This is management’s statement; the update does not provide an independent assessment of mineable reserves or establish when production might begin.
What will the updated feasibility study cover?
Cambria is targeting completion of an updated combined Premier–Red Mountain feasibility study in the first half of 2027. SLR Advisors is named as the primary author, with other specialist qualified persons supporting the work. The update says no further infill drilling at the Red Mountain deposit was required for the study.
The planned study is to incorporate Premier infill drilling, new metallurgical testing, mine-plan optimization and processing modifications for material from both projects. The announcement does not publish the study’s results, so it does not establish project economics, a mine plan or a production outlook from that work.
Has Cambria resolved the Premier water-treatment compliance issue?
No. Cambria says the water-treatment plant, built in 2024, has continually struggled to meet zinc discharge compliance. It reports improved results during the two months before the October 5 update, but provides no numerical discharge data and does not say the plant has achieved compliance.
The company says it took plant operations in-house after contractor operation, engaged specialist water-treatment consultants, improved process controls, upgraded pumps, valves, pipes and other equipment, and revised the water balance. It identifies water management and treatment as priority work at Premier.

What underground and site work is under way?
Premier–Northern Lights
Cambria says it is upgrading underground infrastructure at Premier–Northern Lights, including brow support, power, a ventilation bulkhead, water-management sumps and secondary egress. It expects this work to be complete by the end of 2026, enabling further development for stope access and platforms for infill drilling. The company says the work is using a newly purchased and commissioned mining fleet that includes LHDs, a twin-boom face jumbo, a scissor deck and service vehicles; it does not identify equipment makes or models.
Silver Coin and Big Missouri
Underground development at Silver Coin is planned for spring 2027. Cambria says access may be developed from Big Missouri workings, about 700 metres north, or through a new portal closer to the mineralized zones, depending on permitting considerations. The company also says Big Missouri remodelling identified potential for several small open pits, which it plans to evaluate in the feasibility study.
Which permits are in place, and what remains?
Cambria says it received all permits required for construction of the Red Mountain access road in 2026. That milestone is specific to the road: the update says the company is still advancing engineering and environmental programs for a proposed haul-road permit application and expects future permitting work to focus on major authorizations for mine construction and operation.
The company reports baseline environmental studies during 2026 at both projects. At Red Mountain, studies are also intended to support an amendment to the existing Environmental Assessment Certificate to reflect the current design and development plan. The announcement does not say that all authorizations for mine construction and operation have been secured.
What did Cambria report about warrants and interest?
Cambria reports receiving more than CA$45.9 million from exercises of outstanding warrants. Separately, it intends to settle CA$1,800,253.06 in interest owed to Nebari under its financing arrangements for the quarter from July 1 through September 30, 2026. The proposed settlement is 2,017,318 common shares at a deemed price rounded to CA$0.892 per share and is subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval.
The warrant proceeds are reported as received; the interest settlement is a proposed share issuance, not additional warrant proceeds. The release does not provide further terms or a broader assessment of the company’s financial position.
Who joined Cambria’s engineering and operating team?
The company announced four additions:
- Ali Farah, P.Eng., Director of Engineering: responsible for engineering activities and consultant and in-house technical work. Cambria describes him as a mechanical engineer and manager with more than 35 years of experience, including a decade in northwestern British Columbia mining.
- Carla Romero Robiero, P.Eng., Environmental Manager: focused on water-system compliance, monitoring and reporting. Cambria says she has 20 years of experience and previously worked as a senior lead in integrated water planning.
- Brandon Chambers, P.Eng., Manager of Engineering: described by the company as having experience in mining operations, planning and construction.
- Dinesh Devathasan, P.Eng., Underground Manager: appointed to lead underground development. Cambria says his background includes underground mine projects and Golden Triangle operating experience, including Brucejack.
VP Projects Gord Doerksen said: “Our construction team has made strong headway in all facets, and our new engineering strength will set us up well for continued project development in 2027, with particular emphasis on planning and engineering, as well as water management and treatment and PGP.”
