The application deadline for the BSF’s reported 37-post SMT WKSP 2024 recruitment was June 17, 2024—not today. That window has passed. The report directed applicants to the official BSF recruitment portal, rectt.bsf.gov.in; check that portal for current notices rather than treating this old application as open.
What the 37 vacancies covered
Scroll reported that the SMT WKSP 2024 drive covered combatised Group B and Group C positions: 3 Sub-Inspector (Vehicle Mechanic) posts and 34 Constable posts, for 37 vacancies in total. The report was published on June 17, 2024, the day it said applications would close. Read Scroll’s report.
Where to check BSF recruitment notices now
Use the official BSF recruitment portal at rectt.bsf.gov.in to look for current vacancies and their official notifications. The reported June 2024 application route does not mean the expired application remains available. Before applying to any recruitment, open its current notice and confirm the dates and instructions there.
Fees reported for the 2024 drive
Scroll reported application fees of Rs 200 for Group B applicants and Rs 100 for Group C applicants, plus Rs 47.20 in Common Service Centre service charges. These amounts were reported by Scroll; the original BSF notification was not available to independently verify the fee details.

Do not confuse it with SSC Constable (GD) 2026
A separate SSC Constable (GD) 2026 examination included BSF among the forces covered, but it was not the 37-post SMT WKSP 2024 recruitment. The SSC notice gave December 31, 2025 as its application deadline. The SSC notification and a PIB summary published December 4, 2025 concern that separate examination; neither changes the 2024 drive’s deadline.
What is not confirmed about the old notice
The original BSF notification was not located, so its full eligibility criteria, selection stages, and the current status of any archived application page cannot be confirmed here. For those details, rely on the official notification associated with the specific vacancy, not on assumptions drawn from another BSF or SSC recruitment.
