When was the Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer $260?
Engadget reported the BOV860 at $260, a $90 discount, in an article updated March 31, 2025, on the final day of Amazon’s Spring Sale. The report establishes the price at that time only; it does not confirm today’s price or whether the same offer returned. Read Engadget’s dated deal report.

What to check before buying it at a sale price
Because the reported $260 offer is historical, check the exact model on the live listing before deciding whether it is a good deal. Confirm the seller, model number, final price, and any delivery or return terms shown at checkout. A listing for a similarly named Breville oven is not enough to verify the BOV860 offer.

What does the BOV860 do?
Breville’s U.S. product page identifies the Smart Oven Air Fryer as model BOV860 and lists 11 cooking functions: toast, bagel, broil, bake, roast, warm, pizza, air fry, reheat, cookies, and slow cook. Breville describes its air-fry setting as using higher temperatures and “super convection,” which it explains as maximized airflow. The instruction book describes Element iQ as a system that directs power to heating elements as needed. That explanation is also Breville’s; it should not be taken as independent evidence of cooking speed, crispness, energy use, or performance. Read the BOV860 instruction book.

The BOV860 is not the larger Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro, model BOV900BSS. Deal prices or features for the Pro do not verify the BOV860’s price or specifications. A current BOV860 Amazon price and availability are not established here. The firm takeaway is narrower: Engadget reported a $260 price during the March 2025 Spring Sale, and Breville lists the BOV860 as a multifunction countertop oven with an air-fry setting. Check a live listing for the exact BOV860 before treating any price as current.
