The revised BPSC TRE 3.0 exam window reported in June 2024 was July 19–22, 2024. Those dates have passed; they are not a current or upcoming exam schedule. The report linked the change to guest-teacher applications scheduled for June 4–10, 2024, following a Patna High Court judgment dated May 29, 2024.
What were the revised BPSC TRE 3.0 exam dates?
The Indian Express reported that the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) moved the Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE 3.0) re-examination for Head Teacher, Head Master and School Teacher posts to July 19–22, 2024. The report did not provide a reliable day-by-day allocation of papers or classes, so those dates should be treated as the reported examination window, not as a subject-wise timetable. The revised window is historical. Candidates looking for an active examination date should check the latest BPSC notices rather than rely on this 2024 schedule.
Why was the schedule changed?
The Indian Express said BPSC cited the application period for guest teachers, June 4–10, 2024, in light of a Patna High Court judgment dated May 29, 2024, in CWJC No. 2270/2024. The report attributes the schedule amendment to the Commission; it does not say that the court itself set the July exam dates.

The report quoted the notice as explaining that, in relation to Advertisement No. 22/2024, the Commission had fixed online applications for guest teachers from June 4 to June 10 “in the light of” that judgment, and that the previously scheduled examination date was amended as a result. The full original notice was not independently available to confirm its exact wording.
How did the revised window compare with the earlier schedule?
| Schedule | Dates and context |
|---|---|
| Earlier schedule | March 15–16, 2024. The Indian Express reported that the March 15 exam was held in two shifts and the March 16 exam was cancelled in the context of an alleged paper leak. |
| Revised window | July 19–22, 2024, as reported by The Indian Express. The available report does not establish which paper or post corresponded to each date. |
The Indian Express report also gave recruitment-drive figures of around 87,709 vacancies and 581,305 applicants. These are figures reported by that article, not details of the revised timetable or independently verified statistics.

Use the official BPSC website and its notices or archive section to look for the notice associated with Advertisement No. 22/2024. Check the notice itself for official wording and any paper-by-paper schedule; the July window alone does not establish a particular candidate’s exam date.
BPSC’s exam calendar surfaced for August 14, 2026 is marked tentative and lists TRE 4.0, not a new TRE 3.0 sitting. It should not be confused with the 2024 revision. BPSC’s official site is the appropriate place to check current announcements.
