Scroll published the headline “BPSC 70th CCE notification released; 197 posts on offer” on 24 September 2024. Its article text instead reports 1,957 total vacancies, including 1,954 for the 70th CCE and 4 CDPO posts. Those allocations sum to 1,958, not 1,957. Is the 70th CCE notification still open?
No. BPSC’s calendar records the preliminary examination dates as 13 December 2024 and 4 January 2025, the mains on 25, 26, 28, 29 and 30 April 2025, and interviews from 21 January to 10 April 2026. The calendar labels dates as tentative generally, but its final-result field specifically says “Published on 20-6-2026.” The 70th CCE is therefore a completed recruitment cycle, not a current opportunity to apply. BPSC’s syllabus listing identifies General Studies for prelims and General Studies I, General Studies II, General Hindi and Essay for mains. The commission advises candidates to consult the official advertisement for the most accurate syllabus and notes that syllabus details may be revised.
