Borderlands 4 is already released, so there is no current preorder to place. The Standard, Deluxe, and Super Deluxe editions launched in the US at $69.99, $99.99, and $129.99, respectively. Those are historical list prices—not verified prices today. The practical choice is whether the extra content in a higher edition is worth its current local price on your platform.
Is Borderlands 4 still available to preorder?
No. Borderlands 4 launched on September 12, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC; Nintendo Switch 2 followed on October 3, 2025. The preorder window has ended. 2K’s June 16, 2025 announcement and July 31, 2025 Switch 2 announcement establish those dates.

2K’s current Borderlands 4 game page lists PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. Switch 2 has its own launch announcement; confirm the current edition and availability on the store for your region and platform before buying.
Which edition should you buy?
Standard is the base game. Deluxe adds a bundle of planned post-launch content and a weapon skin. Super Deluxe includes the Deluxe content plus the Vault Hunter Pack and Ornate Order Pack. The right comparison is the price gap you see now versus the specific content you want—not the original launch price alone.

Standard: choose the base game
Standard is the straightforward option if you want to play the game without paying upfront for additional packs. Compare its current price with upgraded editions, especially if an edition discount changes the price difference.

Deluxe: Bounty Pack Bundle and a weapon skin
The Bounty Pack Bundle was described as four separate post-launch DLC packs, each with distinct areas, missions, and bosses. 2K also listed four Vault Cards, gear and weapons, vehicles, Vault Hunter cosmetics, and the Firehawk’s Fury Weapon Skin. The bundle therefore goes beyond a cosmetic-only upgrade, but the announcement did not establish exact DLC release timing; it said timing would be announced later and could change. Check the store listing for current availability and included items.
Super Deluxe: story expansions and additional cosmetics
In addition to Deluxe content, the Vault Hunter Pack was described as two Story Packs, each with a new Vault Hunter, story, and side missions, plus two map regions, gear, weapons, and cosmetics. The Ornate Order Pack adds four Vault Hunter Skins, four Heads, and four Bodies. If story expansions and new playable characters matter to you, compare their current standalone or bundle pricing with the Super Deluxe upgrade rather than assuming the launch-era premium is still the relevant difference.

What was the preorder bonus?
The Gilded Glory Pack was the historical preorder offer. 2K listed one Vault Hunter Skin, one Weapon Skin, and one ECHO-4 Drone Skin. The offer ran until launch; the stated terms said the pack would then be available for separate purchase, required the base game, and needed an internet connection to redeem. It is not a current preorder incentive. If you want the pack now, check whether it is separately sold in your platform’s store and whether it is included in a particular listing. Source: 2K Store.
Which platforms and online requirements apply?
The original September 2025 release covered PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Switch 2 was announced for October 3, 2025. 2K’s official store notes that online play needs an internet connection, cross-play requires a SHiFT Account, and console online play requires a separate paid subscription. Check the current console service terms and local store listing for your platform before purchase.

How to compare prices before you buy
- Choose the platform and format. Make sure the listing is for the platform you own and the physical or digital format you intend to use.
- Compare the same edition. Check whether the listing is Standard, Deluxe, or Super Deluxe and read the included-content details.
- Use the current transaction price. Treat the 2K figures above as launch-era US reference prices, not a current quote. Compare local totals, including any applicable taxes or fees shown at checkout.
- Price the content you actually want. If you are considering an upgrade, compare its price difference with the value you place on the included mission and story content, Vault Hunters, gear, or cosmetics. Verify availability in the current store listing.
- Check platform conditions. Confirm online requirements, cross-play account needs, and any console subscription requirement against the current store and platform terms.
