Boeing delivered 130 commercial airplanes in the first quarter of 2025, up from 83 in the first quarter of 2024. That is a 57% year-over-year increase, according to Boeing’s results. The 130 figure is historical: Boeing later reported 143 commercial deliveries for Q1 2026.
How many planes did Boeing deliver in the first quarter of 2025?
Boeing reported 130 deliveries in its Commercial Airplanes segment for Q1 2025. Its first-quarter 2025 results compare that total with 83 deliveries in Q1 2024, describing the increase as 57%.
How does the Q1 2025 total compare with later results?
The 130 deliveries are not Boeing’s latest first-quarter total. Boeing reported 143 commercial deliveries for Q1 2026 in its April 14, 2026 delivery announcement and confirmed the count in its Q1 2026 results.
The comparison below is limited to the reported total for each period; the figures alone do not establish a like-for-like comparison of aircraft models or product mix.

How many 737s did Boeing deliver in Q1 2025?
The cited Q1 2025 results support the overall Commercial Airplanes total of 130, but the figures provided here do not establish how many of those deliveries were 737s. Do not confuse that unreported breakdown with Boeing’s separate Q1 2026 announcement, which listed 114 737s among its 143 commercial deliveries.
What Boeing’s delivery count does—and does not—say about its finances
Deliveries are a volume measure, not a complete measure of profitability. In Q1 2025, Boeing reported Commercial Airplanes revenue of $8.147 billion, an operating loss of $537 million, and a negative 6.6% operating margin. Boeing said the segment’s revenue and margin primarily reflected higher deliveries; that explanation does not establish that delivery volume alone caused the operating loss.

For comparison, in Q1 2026 Boeing reported Commercial Airplanes revenue of $9.203 billion, an operating loss of $563 million, and a negative 6.1% operating margin. These financial figures are segment results for their respective quarters, not conclusions that can be drawn from delivery totals by themselves.

Boeing cautions in its April 14, 2026 delivery announcement: “Delivery information is not considered final until quarterly financial results are issued.” The company’s Q1 2026 total of 143 was subsequently confirmed in its quarterly results. For the Q1 2025 total, Boeing’s quarterly results report 130 deliveries.
