Asynchronous Backing
Polkadot Developer Docs, last updated January 14, 2026, describe Asynchronous Backing as enabling parachain blocks at six-second rather than twelve-second intervals and increasing execution time per block from 0.5 seconds to 2 seconds. These are documented protocol specifications, not an independent guarantee that every deployment will deliver a particular real-world performance result.
Agile Coretime
Polkadot’s Agile Coretime documentation describes both bulk and on-demand scheduling. Bulk coretime is allocated in 28-day periods; the documentation describes a resource-allocation mechanism, not a DOT price forecast. The page was created October 16, 2024, and last updated January 14, 2026.
