No reviewed source confirms a Black Friday 2026 discount on V-Bucks or Fortnite gift cards. Epic’s documented 2025 Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale covered editions of games, not V-Bucks. A Fortnite gift card can fund an Epic account used to buy V-Bucks, but that payment option is not itself proof of a discount.
Are V-Bucks cheaper on Black Friday 2026?
It is not established that they will be. Epic’s 2025 Black Friday and Cyber Monday announcement described a sale running November 18 through December 2, 2025, with discounts of up to 80% on premium, deluxe, and complete editions of games. Those dates and discounts do not establish a V-Bucks promotion, and they are not evidence of a 2026 offer.

The sources reviewed for this article do not confirm a 2026 V-Bucks price cut. That does not prove no offer will appear later; check Epic’s official announcements and the terms shown by a retailer near the sale period.
Can a Fortnite gift card help you buy V-Bucks?
Yes. Epic says Fortnite gift-card funds can be added to an Epic account balance and used to buy V-Bucks on the Epic Games Store. That makes a gift card a way to fund the purchase, not automatically a cheaper way to make it. Compare the card’s actual selling price with the balance you receive and any clearly stated bonus before treating it as a deal. See Epic’s Fortnite gift card page and gift-card explanation for the payment route and card details.

Fortnite gift cards and older V-Bucks cards
Epic says Fortnite gift cards are replacing V-Bucks cards. Older V-Bucks cards may still be available from local retailers in some regions, and Epic provides a separate V-Bucks card redemption page. Availability and redemption are region-dependent, so check the instructions and eligibility for the specific card before buying it.
| Route | What the official information establishes | What to check before buying |
|---|---|---|
| Fortnite gift card | Funds an Epic account balance that can be used to buy V-Bucks; Epic says the card type is replacing V-Bucks cards. (Epic Games; Epic Support) | Price, balance, region eligibility, and any stated bonus terms. |
| Older V-Bucks card | Epic maintains a redemption route, and says older cards may remain available in some regions. (Fortnite; Epic Games) | Whether the card is valid for your region and how its redemption works. |
What about Epic’s GHOST Monks gift-card bonus?
Epic’s gift-card page describes a GHOST Monks Outfit for a first Fortnite gift-card redemption through December 31, 2026, in regions where Fortnite gift cards are sold. The page says the bonus does not apply to older V-Bucks cards. Check the offer’s current regional eligibility and conditions on Epic’s gift-card page before purchasing; an included cosmetic is a bonus, not necessarily a reduction in the amount you pay for V-Bucks.

How to check whether a Black Friday offer is actually a deal
- Confirm the product: Make sure the offer applies to V-Bucks or a Fortnite gift card, rather than a discounted edition of a different game.
- Compare what you pay with what you receive: Check the card’s actual price and account balance, or the V-Bucks quantity and price shown at checkout. No current comparable prices are established here, so value cannot be ranked in advance.
- Check region and redemption conditions: Verify that the card and any promotional bonus work where you live, and follow the official redemption instructions for that card type.
- Verify the seller and promotion terms: Check that the retailer is legitimate and that the advertised price or bonus is explicitly stated for the exact card. Do not assume a gift card is discounted simply because it can be used to buy V-Bucks.
